Late Night Beer Advocate - Friday

That's the brandy barrel one right? How is it? Was thinking about picking up a bottle since I want to try a brandy barrel aged beer, however it's $29 for 22 ounces. That's hard for me to justify.

Just opened and finished a Growler of Flying Dog Horn Dog super fresh just got the growler last night at the brewery and had to finish it in a sitting, do believe im done for the evening but the beer was amazing

 

Inspired by Beefytits4 drinking a Pt5 I am now drinking this one although I know this is not a Pt5, but the closest thing I have available, not to mention one of my favs!

Just cracked a Brewdog Abstrakt:03. What a weird, crazy beer. Kind of satisfying, though.

 

Just finished off my first Goose Island Rare BCS to celebrate the birth of my daughter on Tuesday... It was absolutely delicious! Now off to bed for a few Z's.

 

It was enjoyed last night. I was too drunk and too busy hosting to post anything. There were 5 of us. We were expecting more people.

Pliny the Elder, 90 min ipa, Oskar Blues Deviant Dales, Lagunitas Imperial Red Ale, Stone Vertical 11, Allagash black, Alaskan Smoked Porter, SN Hoptimum, amenisia (crap), speedway stout, Detour DIPA, Kilt Lifter, Santa's Little Helper, Rogue Barleywine, Double Bastard, Brutal IPA, Ruination IPA, some mammoth growler.

 

I would love try this. Not like I will most likely get to try CBS any time soon...

 

Just got home from a very late night at work. Enjoying Smuttynose Finest Kind and now Green Flash West Coast IPA.

 

Wow! Thats like a month of good beer for most of us. And you swear you could all walk this morning? Props to all 5 of you......what a haul!

confession: I wasn't drinking much water, got extremely hammered while playing apples to apples and threw up in the shower a few times. After I had purged the system I was fine but I wasn't drinking anymore. We had a lot of chips & salsa/spinach dip and a ton of bread and olive oil & balsamic. People drank a lot of water and waited until they went home. It was fun.

 

I thought it held up very nicely, I was pretty impressed that it did. I was not expecting the flavors to come through as much as they did alongside those hop bombs.
