My first experience with Tyranena. She is treating me well. Delicious beer!

Started off the evening with a Jack's Abbey Hoponius Union (care of TWStandley) along with my grilled chicken and homemade potato salad. First time and I gotta say it was damned tasty!

Now moving onto a Breakfast Stout.

It's a good thing I love this stuff so much because I still have a lot sitting in the cellar.

sorachi...that is, if you are a fan of deliciousness. apollo was a big surprise and possibly my fav sixpoint thus far (although fresh righteous and crisp are excellent as well) so you can't go wrong with that one, but sorachi was one of those AHA beers for me.

I'm turning 46 tomorrow so I decided to pull something special off the shelf. I chose a 2011 Kate the Great. I've had this beer many times over the years but for some reason this one is tasting FANTASTIC! Lots of chocolate and amazing mouthfeel! WOW!!

True, it is a tasty bastard . . . only problem is, I realized I don't any bottle stoppers here. I'm by myself and typically don't drink anything of that volume on my own. So I'm going to see what this Apollo is all about. But I agree, in an ideal world (one with bottle stoppers) I think I'd be opening Athene or Sorachi. Soon!

Nice to see all the Sorachi love on here! Under-appreciated beer, in my opinion.

Won't be drinking tonight, celebrated Brasserie d'AChouffe's 30th Anniversary at the Bronx Ale House last night. Good times. Gnomegang on tap might be one of the best beers I've had to date

Yeah I know, I really suck at this game. Oh, well. You know what the problem is? I need more friends but I'm a grad student so most of my friends around here are off doing fieldwork and stuff, and I'm hanging around until July before I take off to do my own research. So, Syracuse, NY is, y'know, hoppin'.

Bright side: I've been running a lot :-)

That time of year when you finally get your hands on the beer that also happens to match your favorite, most used piece of glassware... priceless. It's like the stars aligned. Missing last year's release, this is my first Stone IRS in 2 years and it's everything I remember.

Glad you dig on it! Your camera does a much better job at showing off that glass than my sh#tty flip-phone does.

Finishing off the last of the 2 KBS I've managed to wrangle this year.
