    Went to black raven earlier, had a couple trickster ipas, went and purchased a new pipe, sat on my friends porch, smoked a pipe with some of his home brew and scotch, then an avery mephistopheles....not it's bed for me

    I agree. I had this one with a couple of week on it and it was pretty delicious still. The overwhelming hops simmered down a bit and some caramel shined through.

    I'm just curious, did you like the Kujo? I tried it recently at J. Ryans and thought it was awful. It had a heavy soy sauce flavor that seems common in some of these big coffee stouts. I'm wondering if it was just that tap, since it has decent reviews.

    I thought it was decent. Only soy notes I've ever gotten from a stout, though, were from a 6-month-old bottle of Great Lakes Blackout Stout. So, I may not be particularly sensitive to it. But yeah, I enjoyed Kujo. Second time I've had it at Alto.
