This the 2nd Oakshire I tried, 1st being their Amber. I like their offerings so far. Also digging Beer Valley and Ninkasi. My cousin actually lives in Eugene but won't go near a beer, so I thought I should pick up his slack. :grinning:

Now that you mention photography, I remember seeing some excellent photos on your flickr - very cool. Lately I've been playing a lot of electric bass and still in the beginner phases of mandolin. Oh yeah, and I've moved onto a Purity Brewing Co. Munich Helles

Wow you're cousin is missing out, a lot of my favorite breweries are in Oregon. Have you had Ticerahops from Ninkasi? I think it's an underrated double IPA, not world class or anything, but it's really good.

Has Gov't Mule been playing with him a lot lately? I know he was part of the "Rising Low" thing or whatever that tour was called. Joey's one of the more creative musicians out there I think. Out of all those great bassists though, I'd probably want Victor Wooten to fill in Allen Woody's spot for good - that guy's a freak of nature.

Thanks man, I appreciate that. They are all for sale! lol You should throw together a video of you jamming with beer in the background, that would be cool.

Moved on to a Stoudt's Double IPA, it's good, but man it has a strong boozy bite on the end.

Trying out probably my last new AleSmith for a long time. Gotta trade for BA Speedway one of these years I suppose. Have a ton of fresh Nugget Nectar (the GF bought a CASE!) and that will probably be next.

Splitting a 750 of noble rot with my wife. I dig this beer pretty hard, drinks way lighter than 9%. Cheers all!

True story...joey arkenstat is a product of mike's imagination. mike made him up and hired an actor to play him in the film. my drummer was mike's assistant and producer of the film...he even played drums on joey's album. joey was actually mike playing and then sped up. mike even had the actor show up for some gigs to push the 'joke' to the next level. so perhaps joey is one of the more creative musicians out there (being that he's really mike).

definitely agree on victor, but there are tons of great players out there these days. you gotta check out this new guy "thundercat" he's the truth...and if you are into electronica at all, squarepusher blows my mind...almost as much as this Southampton RIS!!! when i'm not drinking beer, i'm all about bass...

Jumping into this musical conversation here, it's nice to see some bass love, as I drink my noble rot I'm looking at my fender American jazz. Cheers to beer and music lovers!

Founder's Double Trouble tonight while I research what it would take to go from extract to all grain brewing. So many new words to learn.

Glad I'm not the only one working through this Tweason'ale. I'll have to treat myself to my last Double Crooked Tree to end on the upbeat...

Haha I know, sorry I probably should've used the handy new wink feature... Well, actually I didn't know all the details, that's interesting. So the guy in Rising Low isn't even a bass player? He fakes it pretty well, I must say.
