Did you get any caramelized onion characteristics?

Brought back some Dos Perros from Tennessee. Nice interesting tasty brew that you can drink several of. Cheers all!

Yazoo's a nice, local brewery. Wish there were more out there like them.

It looks amazing with a good Belgian Pale Ale. Rayon Vert is gorgeous in that glass. Looking forward to getting some Verboten soon, I'll probably use that glass with it at least once, too.

    Two relative disappointments tonight:

1.) Bell's Expedition Stout: I'd give this a 4.0 tonight. Lots of alcohol, some hops, quite bitter... a little messy in terms of balance. I had this in November, on tap at Bell's, 2009 edition. At the time I deemed it my favorite beer of all time. I'm trying to have faith that two years from now this Sept. 2011 edition will taste as good.

2.) Jai Alai IPA - Gave it a 3.0. This is supposed to be one of the best IPAs out there. It just didn't do it for me. Lots of grapefruit zest, lots of hop bitterness, some alcohol. Again it wasn't super balanced.

It's amazing that, even being somewhat disappointed in these two, they were still good beers and I enjoyed drinking / reviewing them!

Having the new DIPA from Saint Arnold called 'Endeavour', it's amazing if you haven't had it yet.

Some lagunitas red and then a Rahr bourbon barrel aged winter warmer. Maybe a home brew after

A 2009 Avery Hog Heaven. It's toasted malts galore with just enough hop bitterness. Quite Enjoyable.

Tonight was my first bcbs of the season. It's been a few years since having it fresh but I think I preferred the 2009. One was plenty tonight.

Awesome picture, looks very delicious. I have a bottle of the same batch (I think), how is the hop presence coming along? Still IPA level or more of the stout finally coming through?
