Latest beer steal?

Oh and I just got the beer steal of my life. Stopped into a random liquor store I rarely frequent, mostly to see if they had celebration out yet (they did not), and ended up seeing Bruery So Happens It's Tuesday on the single shelf. Grabbed one and a death and taxes for good measure. The cashier rang me up for a grand total of 7.86!

I walked out cause I was on my way somewhere but as soon as possible I circled back for another 4 and the dude rang me up at 2.89 a piece! The last time I saw cans of that beer, 2 years ago, it was $12-15 for a 16 oz can. For those unfamiliar, it is a 15+% bourbon battle stout. A well regarded, and subjectively delicious one at that!

 

Couple weeks ago I found a 4pack of Saison Dupont for around $20 and was surprised both by the availability as well as the price.

 

Picked up a few bombers of Bruery Rueuze for $5 each a couple of months ago.

 

Not beer per se but this Summer I scored and got a Weber iGrill 2 for (yes this price is correct) $.01 on eBay. Now every time I drink a beer while grilling I smile

 

Don't they sell suitcases in Lisbon?

 

I find that hunting for old bombers at Total Wine is the way to go especially if you like sours. Finding an old sour that's had the better part of 5 years to mature and is also now on sale for $4 is a win-win, they cellared the beer for you and then they're basically giving it away.

That's a solid price but I wouldn't consider that a steal by any means, very common to see that price at more competitive retailers like Total Wine and that's the same price I run at my store. Not even bottom line pricing either it's still 25% profit.

 

Was buying these by the case for $38. The spot I go to has pallet sales and beers change every 3 months or so. Right now 15 packs of Oskar Blues are $12.99 including the Canundrum mix packs.

I do find SN beer much cheaper in DE but most other beer is not a bargain. I still find case price in PA to be the best prices for beer in PA.

I was grocery shopping the other day and went into the beer "cave", a cart was marked clearance, I took a peek, garbage mostly. A 1pt 9.4oz bottle of Private Stock Ale, vintage 2016 caught my eye, at $3, it was a no brainer.

 

I don't remember any real bargains in the current century. Draft beer: in about 1978, 25c seven oz. drafts of Lord Chesterfield in St. Clair, PA. In about 1979, late spring, six packs of Schaefer Bock on Long Island for 60c.

 

Definitely a steal.

Every now and again a local store has a half price sale on their big stouts just to get em off the shelf. $7 ten fidy four packs abound.

Here in Connecticut I've been finding Rogue Dead Guy sixpacks for $7.99.

 

Kozel Cerny 7.99$ a four pack 500 ml cans. I’m my rating ended up 20.8% over rDev

Oh and the Jever cans down the street also at 7.99$

 

I just a case of fresh dopplebock from Née Glarus for $32. Laughable how affordably NG decided to price this

 

I've seen 1$ KBS in a TW clearance bin... but I'm super jealous of the Reason d'Xtra
