I assume the suburban Binny's would be a bit laxer since they probably don't get the volume of the city Binnys.

LP Binny's hasn't had a limit on fish beers ever since PW expanded production. Unless Peacock was made in smaller quantities than others, this should be easily available.

Sorry, that was vague - I meant volume as in foot traffic looking to buy a bottle. I didn't mean to imply there was a decrease in volume of bottles produced.

My guess is the fish series is becoming more well known and more people are seeking it out, so Binny's Grand just put a limit on it to stretch out their stock. Its not the first time I've seen stringent bottle limits at B-G that was not the case at other Binny's even within the city (South Loop)

Yeah, Binny's Grand seems to have the lowest limits of anywhere in the city on allocated items. I am pretty much just focus on LP Binny's now (my kids are in daycare across the street, so I drive by it everyday...lots of temptation), with Lakeview and Grand being stopped at once in awhile.

I think I saw somewhere that they will be tapping this at DLD.

Yes, they put that in their e-mail this past week and it was mentioned earlier in this thread I believe.

Has anyone tried this yet? I was disappointed with the recent batch of Crimson Snapper, but usually love the fish series.

Not trying to decide if I should buy, but how many...

Blurg, we aren't going to have time to run down to grab any Sunburst this week. Please, all of you who are able, relish in that many of us are filled with jealousy over your local distribution.

Picked up 2 at Beer Temple yesterday. Popped one last night and loved it. Thought they handled the guava nicely with just a hint of strawberry/pear in there.

This was my favorite beer of 2015 so of course I bought a buttload when it was released a month ago. When I cracked open a fresh one, there was something off. I have had four more bottles since then and it just seems more miss than a hit. It tasted more boozy and less juicy. It's probably my palate.

For what it's worth with regard to the latest batch of Crimson Snapper, I thought this was tasting ridiculously good and better than the first time I had it. Granted, 3 months versus 3 days will do that to a DIPA.

Has Square Grouper been renamed/replaced by Emerald Grouper? I hope not. The old logo was the best of the entire series

I was told in May of 2015 that Pipeworks would be creating a new label for Square Grouper in the near future. They didn't say anything about changing the name though. It was something to do with having to have the label art approved before being able to distribute to different states.

Hmmm, Square Grouper was a collaboration between Pipeworks and Four Hands, so perhaps by renaming it to Emerald Grouper is a way to make it their own. Either way I'm excited for both of these beers to come out, I believe the fish series beers are some of the best DIPAs we can get in the area.

Binny's Glen Ellyn was already sold out this afternoon which I found interesting. I was able to grab one at Whole Foods Wheaton luckily. Will open this weekend on a non-Darklord Day

I will recommend Mandarin Dragonet as our next fish beer, that thing looks sick.
