Damn, thanks for the reminder. Completely forgot about Lil' Citra because I have not tried it yet. Had the Surly extra Citra and it was good but hoping now that PW can work the same magic they did with LK. Looking forward to June.

    Cheers

Might have to do a revisit/bottle share in the fall and check them out again

I did have Lil' Citra on tap, and thought it was just OK. I'll definitely grab a 4-pack when it hits shelves to try it out, but I can't see it surpassing NvU as the main PW beer I would buy in cans. I think I prefer a little more "oomph" than Lil' Citra or Lizard King give.

I expect PW to improve on the first batch of lil citra when it comes out in cans. They've done this before where they release a batch in kegs for beta testing and then improve on the recipe before doing a much larger batch for canning. If I remember correctly, PW did a couple beta testing batches of lizard king before settling on the recipe that would be released in the cans and look how frickin awesome that turned out!

Pretty amped for another brew in cans. All are good to great....LK and NvU being the great ones.

Does anyone see War Bird anymore?

Their wesbsite says they haven't brewed it since 11/3/15.

My speculation is that it was a (relative) failure, so why pump money into brewing and canning it again? I could be wrong, but based on the taste and lack of dwindling supplies of it in stores when it was released, I would say it did not do well. But hey, PW is allowed to miss once in awhile and it's bound to happen with the experimentation in styles and ingredients they are never afraid to try out. I admire the creativity.

The new lupine was not boozy or syrupy. I think it was a good buy
Lizard King is pretty much all mosaic ( I think some Amarillo as well).

Lil Citra was pretty darn good on draft. Sure people will like that.

I thought it had a good Odor and I dug the piney, slightly bitter taste. Not a knockout, but a solid shot to the mouth.

I swear I saw the tap list of their 30 beers at Emporium next Saturday. For the life of me I can't find it. Anybody know where it's posted?

I had Passion Fruit Guppy at Links last night and it was really good. Much like Lil Citra it has those distinctive Pipeworks flavor combos but in the session form. This would be great in cans for a hot summer day

I hadn't seen a taplist anywhere yet, just that they would have 30 beers, including 6 barrel-aged beers. That was enough to convince me to go! I'd definitely be interested in seeing it anyway, though, if someone finds it.
