They both have cryo mosaic hops, is that right? VoL has cryo mosaic hops and galaxy while SoS has cryo mosaic hops and mosaic?

I passed on the Bock, $16 for a 4 pack lager is steep. Wonder if they are taking into consideration time spent to make the beer in the price..........

The Bock was indeed excellent. Drier and more what i am looking for in the style than Dovetail's sweeter Holiday Bock. The strength of this and the Smoked Helles in particular have me believing maybs Pipeworks is a top three lager producer in Chicago, definitely top five.
It is well worth it if Bock is your thing. Likely a high material cost was involved considering how big and rich the beer is (yet that finish is so deliciously crisp). They knocked it out of the park on this one.

Portland Maine or Portland Oregon? Only one of them is in New England.

Sorry, should’ve included Oregon. The NEIPA beers there tended to retain flavor characteristics of a PNW IPA. It was a nice change of pace from what the NEIPA brewers in Chicago aim for

You mean a change of pace from what a NEIPA actually is?

Try Trader Joe's. They have most of PW's 4packs and allow you to split anything. Got a mix 6 of Smoke, Pils, Bock, Super Hype, VOL, and Close Encounter.

Glad you liked it man! I was planning on try Dovetails bock myself this weekend.

I do agree PW may end up being one of the best lager breweries in the city. Very impressive stuff from them lately

Having my first VoL from the latest batch. Outstanding once again imo. Some local breweries could learn from PW about inter batch consistency. But seriously, between VoL & Infinite Galaxy, PW fulfilled all my galactical needs in 2018. F*&k Space Force.

Went to the Dojo today for some Speed of Sound and thought I’d get some Jones and Hyper as well. Found out they were sold out of the Dogs already, so that was a bummer. I must’ve missed the announcement when that happened. At least I got some SoS before Christmas - I wasn’t sure if they’d be hitting distro on Monday or not.
