Latest Pipeworks Releases and Updates (2018)

I lived a block away from TDS until recently. Good little place, but definitely a sit down restaurant, no bar. That place just really makes me miss Bonsoiree (which was there before). Best food I've ever eaten in Chicago. They also did a lot of Pipeworks pairings. Shame what happened to the place.

They're tapping it at a Logan Theater screening of The Big Lebowski tonight so I assume the release can't be far behind. Next week or following?

I just bought Black Tuna yesterday.

 

I believe Evanston 1st just got theirs in today - the shelf of Black Tuna was full, and the shelf of Grand Guignol only had 1 left in the row, and I was like "dayumn" but it turns out the employee was in the middle of unboxing the case right then :-)

 

Grand Guignol is the best stout in PWs stable. I really hope to see act two, three, four.....

 

I picked up my first 4 bottles of Pipeworks beer today. Quad, Imperial End of Day, Bicentenial Falcon Batch 500, and Brown & Stirred.

 

Don't expect anything special from Bicentential. It's gotta be 5+ months old. You'll like the rest

 

I drank the Brown & Stirrred last night and enjoyed it. I have a screaming headache from trying too many beers last night!!

This Imperial white Milk stout is brewed with vanilla beans, an abideable amount of cacao nibs and cold pressed Dark Matter coffee that really tied the beer together, did it not? It is the perfect oat soda for those days when you're out of your element and all you can do is say "F it, Dude, let's go bowling".
