I just had a batch 101 Jones Dog and it was amazing. I need to buy that beer more. Is that the new imperial version, or the old recipe?

I'd like to hear more about this. I have a few bottles that I have been saving in my cellar. Why would these react any differently than the rest of my hoarded collection? These are stouts and barleywines, so I would assume that they would be safe.

Please explain "go bad". Are you aging their ipa's? If it's any of their barleywines, stouts, belgians, etc they should not "go bad". Yes, the beer may change but should still be good.

I actually have a bottle in my beer fridge now, but one in the basement as well. I haven't had any issues with aging other stouts from Pipeworks for a few months. By bad, do you mean something like the raspberry flavor from the first batch of RTA drops off? I sort of expect that (like a coffee stout, the coffee flavor fades, but other, more subtle flavors emerge.) I figure that the Chai spices won't be as pronounced by November/December, but I might get a deeper sort of smoothness to it.

Hit the shelf at Binny's Highland Park as soon as we got it in, about 1:30 today. It was down to the last case when I left at 6.

End of Days, Batata, Pastrami. They tasted like turpentine after about 7 weeks each at cellar temp. I told Scottie about it I think in May, he said he'd check it out. So I just put everything in the fridge now and drink it fresh, have had no problems all summer.

The Batata, End of Days and Pastrami I didn't really age, just kept aside for a couple months, smelled and tasted like turpentine. I'm not aging the IPAs, those don't last here more than a day or two.
