Good to know. Now I'll have to re try it. I havent had mexi cake, but I've had hunahpu. So if it's around the same level as huna now I think we're good.

We NEED some barrel aged CBA. CBA still my favorite in the abduction series.

I cannot even begin to express how happy it would make me to see CBA in a barrel.

    Hey folks,

I'm making my twice-yearly trip to Chicago in a couple of weeks. I had planned a trip to Three Floyds but I'm scrapping it in favor of buying more Pipeworks and Half Acre stuff this trip. Is West Lakeview *the* go-to spot for Pipeworks stuff, or might I have equal luck with selection at stores in some of the burbs I'll be passing through, like 1st Liquors in Evanston, Cardinal Warehouse in Niles, or the numerous Binny's? I have no problem going to WLV, and it's likely that I'll wind up there anyway....just wanted to get some opinions on the other Pipeworks-friendly places.

    Thanks!

It depends...WLV will be your go to spot for beers that were recently released, but if you're looking to find a gem from a while ago, then you would scour the suburban liquor stores. There is no real "go to spot" for pipeworks. Be mindful of what stores stock their beers (check out the pipeworks website for more info on that) and know that each store's stock will vary.

Binny's Marcey Street (Castle Vav), WLV, Beer Temple, and Puerto Rico Food and Liquors are the best priced city spots to find PW and they are all within 10-15 minutes of each other (outside of rush hour).

there isn't an official go-to spot for pipeworks, but the stores that Drucifer posted are good starting points. cardinal warehouse in niles for sure carries PW. here's their beermenu page, hasn't been updated in over a month though.

New releases that are sought after don't last more than a couple hours at Cardinal :slight_frown:

Your best bet is binnys and suburban binnys at that. City stores sell out quick. if you really wanna find pipeworks, hit up bolingbrook binnys.

The suburban binnys always have a decent selection of the usual pipeworks suspects, but personally I havent been able to find any of the rarer releases in months out here. Lemme tell ya, Ive missed out on more abductions than naperville school children in a gated community with a brinks security system and a schlage.

Because of this I usually end up walking out with an EOD and/or hyperdog, which Im content with any day.

Speaking of EOD spiciness talk, Id totally be down for a men's version thats extra spicy! :grinning:

Paradisiac was bottled today, second run of it bottled tomorrow. It tastes REALLY fuckin' good. For those who had it at Norse, you'll notice this batch has a little less overt strawberry notes, but instead the fruit flavors come in layers on the palate, and more with each sip.

I had the pleasure to enjoy this and the amazing BA Abraxass keg at Norse....so the real question is when's the paradisiac hitting shelves??

I thought I remember a tweet that WLV got some in yesterday (probably for FWB); so I expect it to start trickling out over the next week!
