best bet is to set up a trade, and you shouldn't need to trade your soul. grab something from freetail or jester king (preferably texas exclusive, as wlv carries JK) and you'll find someone, near guaranteed.

So looks like city and west burbs stores got Citra... anyone see this in NW burbs?

 

I went to 7 stores yesterday trying to find a couple bottles of Citra Ninja, absolutely no luck. Either all sold out, or had already had peoples names on the bottles. I'm very disappointed!

It makes me wonder, why doesn't Pipeworks brew more of this beer? The last time it was released I ran into the same problem, went to several stores and didn't find anything. Pipeworks, please brew this beer for like a month straight, maybe then I'll find some bottles.

Well at least we are not alone... If they brewed three batches and it sold out in less than a day, you would think Pipeworks would see that and want to make some more of it. Please Pipeworks, make me some more Citra Ninja!

 

I just came from West Lakeview Liquors and picked up two Citra Ninja and two Pipeworks glass snifters. Try that place if it's a reasonable distance from you.

hop supplies. citra is in extreme demand and i don't think they're anywhere close to having the supply to meet it.

This was confirmed by Part Time. He even mentioned that PW's contract on citra hops was about to end. Hopefully they were able to sign a new one...

we're a couple months shy of the 2013 american crop starting to hit suppliers, so let's hope that 2013 is a bigger year than before. in 2011 i had to look all over to find simcoe and citra, but right now there's a couple suppliers where i could buy a pound or two of either of those if i felt like it. this year, the really scarce one has been amarillo.

 

what about mosaic? seems like this is one of the new hot ones.

Re citra shortage: Id recommend asking a professional basketball player. Heard theyve got mad hops!
