Latest Pipeworks Releases and Updates

I for one am glad we can ask Pipeworks questions and they answer us here in the community pretty fast, i dont see other brewers taking time out of their schedule to do that. And i also know i am one to spout off after i have had a few and my friends understand that and are still my friends afterwards. If Pipeworks told me to go shove it where the sun dont shine i would still love their beer and buy it all the time. And for those of you that cant take a little razzing then i dont think this site is for you. Pipeworks keep doing your thing and ill keep drinking your beers!!

there are a few other brewers that post but PW is all over this shit which i also greatly appreciate.

FWIW, some of the other brewers/brewery related staff that i have seen are @sierranevadabill (guess who he works for?), @jermis (boulevard), @BigDog (against the grain, not sure if that is the right handle).

 

....still enjoying Pipeworks on a regular basis, on those glasses that the crew gave us. Some of the best brews I had in 2013...Square Grouper,RTA, Citra Ninja, Ba Jones Dog just to name a few....
Im still confused, I know when it comes to hopheads they like that "in your face" bitterness/flavor......but when it comes to other flavors such as coconut,vanilla or rasberry ....why not just crack open a coconut, or almond joy

and that's kind of the exact point of the original 'rant'. it's an interesting thing for a producer to try and figure out exactly what it is that their consumers want, and the conclusion is, why feedback is helpful, we are never going to please everyone. but it's also not just as simple as saying 'brew it the way we like it' because we still have to sell beer... and maybe the way we like it isn't going to please enough people to keep us in business.

at this point, most people (or a sizable sample) who will be buying our big hoppy beers are aware that they aren't going to be a 'balanced' hoppiness... they know it'll be big and in your face (and thus should not and hopefully will not be let down by expectations). well with our other beers maybe the consumer base isn't familiar enough yet to know what the expectations should be. should it be subtle flavors or over powering? hence the conflicting feedback. and hence the 'show' of frustration (which for any BAer who's been with us since the first thread, knows it wasn't serious).

 

Orland Park Binnys is out of TNA, hopefully batch 2 will be out(if there is one) and I can get some.

 

The only thing I don't agree with in the 'silly rant' was how it might have appeared to mock anyone person, and that was not the intention. We're on our 4th edition of this thread (right?) and this is kind of the way we've established the rapport in this thread since the beginning. You are absolutely correct that to the casual browser of our thread such silly rants might seem totally inappropriate from a business to its consumers. But we weren't flaming anyone, just expressing some human emotion. Sorry for leaving a bad taste in your mouth.

Yea i think i want @Infinite1 to get SS before i do, but i must admit i come to this thread a lot just to read his posts about how he just missed out on something, it gives me a good chuckle from time to time. And at least he is a good sport that can take a little razzing

 

Not worried about the razzing. I have made a couple of good friends on this site. Also when I do get a gem, I usually share it with people who are trying to get into craft beer but have no idea what style they like. Now every time they see PW at a store they pick it up
