I've never actually picked up my bottle from Binnys. Luckily I have 2 shops right by me that get distribution, so its just easier that way. But went to LP Binnys today, plenty of Something Hoppy on the shelves.

Something hoppy drinks like pale ale, at the expense of not being an in your face dipa, but it is nice. Gonna get the last pipeworks releases i havent had on tuesday, then ill be the only person on the other site with 100% completion of the pipeworks beers.

Grabbed a Something Hoppy at Vas Foremost tonight and just poured it. Might write a "review." They had like 8 Pipeworks varieties in. I have never actually had one of their IPAs though so I had to grab this one, even at 11.99. Man, yeah, going down mighty easy for 10%, in a good way.

You'd be better off picking up two bottles of Something Hoppy and just skip the Enjoy By... Something Hoppy is heads and tails better than Enjoy By which is good, but utterly forgettable.

Weird, I was at LP Binnys to grab my FwB bottles yesterday morning and that was pretty much the only recent Pipeworks release NOT on the shelves, they must have put some out after I left.

must have. unless they put out the remaining FOB that didn't get picked up early (they usually give a week before they put those on the shelf).

I though Enjoy By... was phenomenal. Great Nelson Sauvin hop character and extremely well-hidden alcohol. Haven't opened my Something Hoppy yet, but if it's even close to the Stone offering I'll be in for a treat.

I don't disagree. However, Enjoy By...just trended far too sweet and fruity for me. I mentioned this in my review, but especially on the finish, I prefer my DIPA's to be middle of the road to a bit on the drier side. Enjoy By...is about as fruity and sweet as they come. As a result, I felt it was an average DIPA. For those that are looking for those characteristics in a DIPA, I'm sure they will have a much greater appreciation for this brew.

I really enjoy the flavor of Sorachi Ace hops, so this brew was right in my wheelhouse.

I had both Enjoy by and Something Hoppy back to back this weekend and let me say Something Hoppy > Enjoy by by a massive margin IMO. The Sorachi Ace hops in Something Hoppy made me say "Wow, this beer is phenomenal" while Enjoy by was a mere "meh" I found the Enjoy by to be superbly hopped but way too sweet and unbalanced.

Congrats Pipeworks on a delicious brew very well done. You've made a fan out of me!

completely agree. still one of my favorite Pipeworks. granted, I do love a good chili beer. it seems they kicked it up a just slightly this time for an even better balance between the chili and the spices. just fantastic.

I know chili beers aren't for everyone, but I think the BA reviews are skewed too much by the original batch. the past 2 batches have been vastly superior.

Bingo. I have reviews for the new batches and plan on updating mine accordingly. The two newest batches are leaps and bounds better than the original.

Yeah - I already revised my review and if the newest batch is better I'll do so again.
