The typical American "Sour Enthusiast" isn't that bright. They don't really care about the style or the story, they just want "The Sour". They jump into styles and just expect enamel melting acedic qualities. When they don't get that, they say "Bah! Not Sour Enough! How come this Berliner Weisse doesn't taste more like CANTILOON!"

It's the "OMG I AM SO INTO SOURZ" crowd that you find all too frequently on communities like these that just don't understand. This isn't a knock just on this site, but all sites and beer communities it seems, and the enthusiast crowd and their growing "OMG SOURZ" legions that inhabit them..

This is a Berliner Weisse. One the boys at Pipeworks were nice enough to add fruit to. A genuine recipe that, since I first had it back when they were just making homebrew batches years ago, was pretty damn good. Thank them appropriately.

jesus christ people, you're getting worked into a frenzy over nothing. blue lady is available at like a dozen stores at least. had no trouble grabbing mine off the shelf at one of the usual shops last night. i didn't even have to punch anyone to get it.

really pumped for the raspberry berliner too, as well as the upcoming imperial stout.

I'm not FWB and would love some BA Pipeworks but am more than happy with Blue Lady, Peach Berliner, Raspberry Berliner, End of Days, Blood of the Unicorn, etc., etc...

Well that's logical.

 

As long as everyone gets a chance at a bottle or two I'm cool with this. However (and this isn't directly aimed at you funkyaudio necessarily) its a dick move to buy out every last bottle without giving other people of chance. Just because you can doesn't mean you should. That's probably what happened last year with your BCBS. Someone felt entitled to buy every bottle just because he could.
