This sounds awesome! I had NvU last night and even my wife (who is not a hophead by any means and usually scowls when there is any bitterness) thought it was delicious and smooth. On that note I can say "well done"...

Per their most recent cover photo on facebook, it looks like this week brings Ubiquitious Pale and Poivre de Sichuan.

Also, for you folks in Northwest Cook County, Cardinal Warehouse now carries their beer at the Niles and Norridge locations.

Did they release the BA Smoked Porter (batches 005 and 006 I believe?) last week?

Two weeks ago I think. I saw it at a small store a couple weeks ago...

Well the red wax (Batch 001) came out a few months ago. That was the first time they released BA Smoked Porter. Then (I think it was last week) they sent out an email to FwB and said the second release would be coming in the next couple days. They said it'd be an "orange-ish" wax, but they hadn't dipped them yet. I went to pick up FwB bottles last Wednesday and was told the newest ones they had were CA$H and new NvU. So I'm just wondering if these "orange-ish" ones have dropped yet.

Yes, it was out last week. I'm sure there is plenty sitting on the floor at Binny's SL, and possibly Marcey St.

Picked up the orange waxed version at WLV so it's definitely available. I didn't pick up my FwB from Binny's so I'm sure they'll be hitting shelves soon.

Yep, saw batch 005 and 006 at the Binny's on Grand late last week. It's a very reddish orange wax, which could easily be mistaken for red if you don't check the batch # or have both red and orangish-red waxed bottles next to each other.

    August 3, 2012 Update:

This week brings us two new beers:
    - Ubiquitous Pale Ale, a strongly dry hopped Pale, citrusy and easy to drink, like a baby Ninjacorn, 7.5%ABV and should go for $7.99

    - Poivre du Sichuan, a bit lighter in body than Poivre Rose, ginger, coriander, pink peppercorns, orange peal and of course Szechuan peppercorns! 7.0% ABV and should go for $9.49

Both are available now at West Lakeview Liquors & Binny's Lincoln Park.

Also, we started working on the first Friends with Benefits ONLY releases. Koval Barrel Aged Sour Smoked Porter is tasting very good. And we filled the Evan Williams barrel West Lakeview Liquors gave us with Hyper Dog! We'll let that sit for a while and then bottle it in 12ozers to be released only to you, our Friends with Benefits.

Our first Berliner Weisse is fermenting away right now and we're about to add a large amount of Seedling Farms Blueberries, hand delivered off the farm tuck, to the mix. If this turns out as tasty as we think it will, we will be doing Berliners all the time!

    Upcoming:
    - Jones Dog
    - Quintessential American Wheat Ale
    - Poivre Noir - Lemon Pepper Saison
    - End of Days
    - Something Hoppy This Way Comes - 10% Imperial IPA with Sorachi Ace hops
    - CA$H 4 Golden Ale
    - and one last batch of Ninja vs Unicorn for a while... maybe

on the other side of things. it's still pretty bad ass they're doing this, in lieu of the friends supporting the kickstarter. i'm not hating pipeworks at ALL. just the people with benefits :sunglasses: . nerds.
