Of course the HF Farmhouse Festival is on the same day as the next Farmer's Market. I was hoping to hit both HF and the Farmer's Market, but now I'd have to pick one or the other.

    Damn you HF!

Farmer's market opens at 9am and the line moves pretty fast(Google says 1 hour 36 minutes from Waitsfield to Greensboro) you should be able to do both.

Well, I mean I can't go visit HF if I don't have a ticket to the festival, which I won't because I don't live near there. So I either choose not to visit HF and go to the farmer's market, or visit HF and miss out on the farmer's market.

Sounds like we're back with Shaun vs Sean again. Not much dilemma here.

Double Sunshine might very well be my favorite DIPA. Actually, it's probably my favorite hoppy beer in general these days. Impressive stuff.

$30 for a 550 ml of Maple Trippel? Those bottles actually sold out at $30 bucks a pop. I would love to try it but not at that price point. I was shocked when I saw that on Sat. Double Sunshine is definitely the shit but for me it is still behind Heady, Double Citra, Double Galaxy.

Enjoyed my two bombers of Three Penny Especiale this weekend, what an awesome session ale! I hope Sean keeps making that. I thought it was a one off for TPT but I'm glad I was wrong!

Brought a Permagrin Rye up to Oxbow in ME last Friday to give them. Lawson's makes friends wherever you go!

As far as I know Maple Tripple and Farmhouse Rye did not sell out; at 30 bucks a pop there were still bottles there at 12:30 or so when I got mine. The only ones that had sold out at that point were 3 Penny and Double Sunshine. This was 30 minutes before the end of the market.

Sean Hill is indeed talented as well. I wish he and Lawson were able to distribute on a slightly larger scale. Procuring brew from either source requires a fair road trip for me (roughly 90 minutes), although always rewarding.
As for Lawson's Maple Tripple; it is pricey at $30 / 500ml BUT, it is made in small batches with locally sourced maple syrup and put up for a year. Needless to say this is one labor intensive concoction. I brought a bottle to share with my son and his best man the night prior to his wedding. It proved to be a very special drink for a very special evening. I only wish I had bought two bottles so I could savor a larger taste later. Very unique product. Unlike anything I've tasted before. Champagne-y on many levels.
Maybe we can look forward to a Lawson / Hill collaboration in the future? Imagine the possibilties...
