I will be talking with my main store today. They are convinced it might be dropping today. I will post what I find out.

Yep, the guy is ticked off... no delivery of Sip of Sunshine. He's given up hope at this point haha. It's been a month now.

Anyone hear of any rumors that Lawson's is no longer going to be brewing at Two Roads?

Heard rumblings that they may not be brewing there as often, but I haven't heard that it is done completely.

Thats some interesting rumors... I hope they dont stop completely because wouldnt that mean it will not be distributed here locally then (ie: the SoS)?

Isn't the Super Session #2 going to be brewed and distro is 6 packs? Lawson's in VT doesn't have that capability....

But there are definitely other places that they could brew. Kelso comes to mind.

Anyone else hear that Lawson's are out of beer all together? Heard they're moving to craft whiskey & artisanal cronuts exclusively.

From what I've heard from salesmen and a Two Roads rep, it sounds like a temporary thing.

Two Roads' main distributor, F&F, has always made small-but-frequent orders from the brewery. Two Roads would much rather churn out huge batches and have the distributor commit to it all at once instead of a little each week. I can't imagine it's a major financial issue for Two Roads, but I'm sure it makes for a less-than-ideal logistical situation of putting out smaller batches than they're geared for and/or having pallets of beer just sitting around.

It sounds like F&F is finally coming around to the idea of buying from them in bulk, so perhaps Two Roads is postponing all contact brewing in an effort to churn out as much of their own product as possible to sell to the distributor. That's my guess, because it sounds like they have a pretty solid relationship with Sean Lawson and Jeppe of Evil Twin. Speaking of Evil Twin, the only ET beers we're currently seeing are ones brewed at Westbrook. The 16oz cans brewed at Two Roads (Molotov Lite, Citra Sunshine Slacker) have all been on hiatus as well.

And, last but not least, our salesman told us that Sip should be shipping out by the end of the month. :grinning:

I was told that Two Roads has dropped Sean's brew days from twice a month to once a month. Wonder if Sean has the ability to jump to another contract brewer in state...of course he may not want to. Hope its temporary.

Originally it was only supposed to be brewed once a month. I guess we have just been lucky. They were brewing 100bbl batches of it right?

Am i correct in saying that a 100 barrel batch will yield 1,000 cases? Does anyone know the allocation percentages between CT and VT?

I picked up a case at the warren store on Thursday and they are dated 5/6. Wonder why they sat so long before being released.

All the stores I talked to expected some to come last week for whatever reason and it never came. Seems everyone is in the dark. I prefer that other limited beers like Heady can be purchased at regular intervals at certain stores. SoS is getting a little ridiculous because not only do stores not know when they are getting them, but they get such limited quantities that they often don't even put them out.

    1,377 cases. 1 bbl = 31 gallons

Makes sense, 400-500 cases for each distro area sounds about right. I remember someone saying hartford distro gets a little over 400 cases.

I was speaking with my main contact for SoS and they were saying that Vermont is upset that their distribution amount is too small (ie: taking more away from CT and distributing more up there). I have no idea if that's even true but I feel like rumors are starting to fly at this point haha. I foresee any deliveries around here being from the 5/6/15 can date as someone aforementioned above. Such a shame because once stores get it, they will mark it up to around $20 per 4-pack or make it even harder to obtain (ie: 1-2 cans per customer)... so dumb!
