Lawson's SOS CT Lookout Thread

It drops every few weeks and is a scramble to find. It's around on tap, but tricky to find in stores.

 

I think there was a drop on Monday this week. Berlin Spirits had 3/21 canned Sip and Session #2, as of yesterday.

 

Ok, I was going to head down Saturday...Any good beer bars around Hartford area?

 

I picked up a can of sip for 5 bucks just right now out here in San Diego.

Thing is, it was canned 10/03/15 haha. Going to give it a shot tmmrw.

Blasphemy that it's going to take this long before its drunk.

 

Dropping in Wallingford/Hamden area today.

 

I had heard Fairfield County was supposed to happen today, too. Can't prove that (yet).

 

Two Roads is pumping it out, man. I got the chance to talk to Phil Markowski the other night and he told me that they were nowhere near production capacity, even contract brewing for at least three other labels.

 

4/01 cans in new haven county today, 4/05 batch of g-bot is around also.

 

4/1 cans hit avon/simsbury area as well

 

Picked up SoS but not a single sighting of G-Bot in the Milford area.

 

I think distro figured out that if they spread it around on different days it is harder for "truck chasers" to find and clean out the stores. I know a store in guilford that got g-bot two days ago, and a store in branford that got it yesterday. I remember when pretty much every shop that ordered a case got one, and it would drop every 4th friday like clockwork, at least in my area, it made it very easy to buy as much as I wanted. Now its not really worth trying to track down anymore IMO, great if you stumble on some.

 

convenience store on grove street in stamford continues to get "new" SOS every week, catch is they are from NOVEMBER - makes no sense (plus they charge $20) - anyone have any idea what the deal is there?

 

Sounds like a bad store! They must have got some in November and don't know how to sell it. Should be $14 too.

 

ALK of Hamden does the same. They purchase SOS from other stores and resell them for $19.99+. Criminal.....

 

I just picked up 4/19 SoS, can't get more fresh than that!

Got 4/18 batch at Liquor Depot in New Britain.

 

driving up I-95 North from DC to Hartford this Thursday (May 5). Can anyone recommend some places to check for Sip/G-Bot? Is there any hope of locating either of these, or would this be a fool's errand?

 

CT Beverage Mart in Wallingford just got a drop of Sip today according to their FB page (small drop according to them). Would probably be on your way up to Hartford.

 

Can anyone recommend a store in the Simsbury or Avon area for SOS and SS2? Drops expected this week?
