Lawson's SOS CT Lookout Thread

Has anyone seen any Sip in Fairfield Cty lately? Haven't gotten any in a while, asked a few of my local shops that always had it and they're saying that they either aren't getting any or that their allocation has dropped. SS2 seems to be readily available as always which i found strange. anyone else seeing anything similar or have any insight?

picked up in Norwalk yesterday. Fairfield and Norwalk both got shipments yesterday I believe.

 

Connecticut

Thanks to our relationship with Two Roads Brewing in Stratford, CT, we brew Lawson’s Finest Sip of Sunshine IPA and Super Session #2 locally and deliver it cold and fresh throughout the state with Hartford Distributors Inc. and Star Distributing.

- From the lawsons website. I wonder if the recent drop was bigger than what we are used to. I hope so after seeing boston area stores posting that they received 8+ cases, while the bigger accounts in CT only get 2-3 cases at a time in the past.

 

Store near me put the SoS out for club members Tuesday, but the cans are dated 12/27. How are the distributors holding on to these for 2 months?

 

Valid question about holding on to them, but it's only 1 month.

 

I've seen older cans show up on shelves after newer ones on occasion, not a consistent occurrence, but not super rare either.

picked up 1/20 cans in berlin on tuesday after a monday delivery.

Anyone see this in Fairfield/Norwalk/Stamford recently ?

It's a shelf turd now.

 

Not surprised considering nearly every store squirrels it in the back and will maybe sell you a $6 single for a h-job! A case can easily last a month or two under those conditions.

 

Harvest (Farmington Ave) must have had eight or nine cases today. Lawson's wasn't joking about bigger allotments. Hopefully this makes stores just put them out there at reasonable prices. I'm lucky Harvest has been doing that for a long time now.

 

Does anyone have a list of stores that get delivery of SoS in Hartford/West Hartford area?

I usually go to Harvest in West Hartford, but they run out pretty quick and miss it most of the times.

 

Looks like kegs of the new SS #8 have started dropping in the areas where HDI distributes Lawson's. I haven't seen it in any of the Star counties yet.
