Nope. Had a Stubborn Beauty beer for the first time though, the IPA- nice beer. Nothing I was head over heals about, but nice and juicy fruity. And I generally agree with your comments about Gio's, nice people for sure, and good food, but you can definately get better pizza without trying very hard.

 

yeah the pizza is more like a meal... you can judge a pizza place by their cheese slice, and gio's cheese pizza is something there's no reason to ever order. load up toppings and they're pretty good though.

 

Ha, exactly, I ordered just the cheese slice today (well, the double size) and was completely underwhelmed. The last time I was in I had the stuffed veggie, again, meh. But then again my baseline for stuffed pizzas is Lena's in Hartford, which is tough to beat.

Should be very soon. Supposedly distibutors have a fresh batch in the warehouse and haven't sent it out yet for some reason.

I didn't ask that many questions. Just passing along info I got from a local shop. Their distributors would be star. Makes sense that a new batch was brewed, it has been 3 weeks since the last drop.

 

I'm heading down through CT on Saturday. I know people don't wanna give up their spots, but if Sip does ship out this week would it hit a large number of stores or only limited accounts?

 

It hits pretty wide. The larger stores are more likely to sell to random people and not hold it for regulars

 

I know Hartford hasn't gotten any since 4/30.

 

It's strange, Lawson's blog said week of May 18 and nothing around here. Now they just updated again and said a batch will be hitting VT end of May, but nothing about CT.

 

Made a few calls earlier. Definitely did not hit fairfield county today.

I spoke to a few stores along Rte 95 and none of them think they'll get any today. They said maybe next week?

One also mentioned that Two Roads may begin producing less SOS than usual as they are ramping up their own brewing? Not sure if that's rumor or truth...

 

One guy told me that they almost always deliver on Mondays. He thought that the distributor held it for Mondays because they need business on a Monday and usually make them order a minimum of 10 cases worth of stuff. They order 9 that they don't need to get 1 case of SoS.

 

Any spottings? I know MaxBev had some on Saturday but haven't seen it anywhere else
