A bunch of places here suddenly have cans. Did they finally get distribution down here or is this a one time deal?

Yes. Sarene. Seems like everyone is just selling single cans for now, so most likely limited supply, but nonetheless nice to see.

    Good news!

Foley Bros. and Hermit Thrush also coming, via Remarkable.

I'm surprised it took that long considering where it's brewed. Funny thing is now we have local options as good if not better than SOS.

Yep - Top Hops posted 2 cans pp and they also have it on tap.

My guess it's similar to what Alchemist did a month or 2 ago when a bunch of Heady Topper and Focal Banger were distributed in NYC, only difference was those were on premise consumption only.

This makes you wonder if the abundance of local options has precipitated a decline in sales for Heady and SOS and this leaves more of these beers available for distribution.

Picked up two at Carmine Street Beers around 5 pm, had to ask for it (was refrigerated in the back)

Picked up a four pack from Good Beer on 9th. Never had it before so excited to try it. Surprised it was only $21. Is it just me or has the last two months been insane for NYC beer fans? Amazing offerings from our local breweries (and I think Greenpoint Beer has really flexed its muscles recently), plus a sudden distro of Heady and Focal, now Sip of Sunshine

It was always a chance once Two Roads started canning for them. They could probably add a few states if they wanted to.

Only lol holy crap. It's like $13-$15 in VT and CT.

I hear its going to be distributed on a reg basis, not like alchemists where it's gonna be a few times a year. and supposedly there's rules like keeping it refrigerated in the store

It's an absolutely delicious beer, though not at all in the vein of the hazy juice bomb NEIPAs that have flooded the market of late. It's a lot more "balanced" in its hop/malt ratio. Definitely a good amount of caramalt in there as well. It reminds me a lot of jai alai actually. Very floral and fruity for an older-school IPA, but not the alcoholic fruit juice popularized by TH and trillium and copied by every brewery this side of the Atlantic.

Local options blow away SOS. They are a day late and a dollar short.

Yawn and good luck with the enforcing refrigerator rules. No one is going to get excit d by this one.

Sure, but if I'm paying $18/20 per four pack for DIPAs from NYC local breweries such as Other Half, SingleCut, and LIC Beer, than slightly over $20 from a highly popular beer from a Vermont brewery isn't terribly absurd, no?

Anyway, cracked my first can and really just loved it. Interesting interdigitate between West and East coast IPAs (leaning West). Highly balanced, and hit a sweet spot that I was looking for.

I'll be honest I'd take most of the beers you listed over Sip brewed at Two Roads.

I've purchased numerous times in CT, and the cheapest was $16, highest was $19. It's an 8% dipa with a heavy dry hop, and in high demand. It's never been $15 a four pack in CT as far as I know.
