Just a quick question. I know they get their shipments on Thursday. How long do they normally last and what are normal limits?
In my experience the Lawson's typically arrives around 10am and I shoot to be there by 11. I have never felt the need to get there early and line up as I have not been shut out when arriving by 11.
Couldn't agree more with bigstein, but if you happen to wander in earlier than arrival they make dynamite breakfast sandwiches. I think I showed up once around 2 and got the last bottles of triple play. Can't imagine they usually last that long, though
A lot of it depends on what else is going on in Vermont-beer-world that weekend. If there's a big HF or Alchemist release, or a Montpelier Farmer's Market (which may lessen the Warren Store supply), then it's likely gone Thursday afternoon. This past weekend I stopped by at 3pm on Friday, and there were still a few cases of Chinooker'd left. I was stunned. And very, very happy.
I was there on 4/17 for Permagrin Rye Pale Ale. I showed up at 10:20 am and the truck was literally unloading the shipment when I arrived. The limit that day was four bottles/person.
Last time I tried - end of February - I showed up at 2pm on Thursday and that morning's shipment was gone.
No cases, 4pks I think 2 per, Tuesday delivery. All stores that sell cases are noted on the alchemist where to buy page.
as far as the warren store is concerned.... get there early or don't go at all. go @ 9am. get a coffee and an egg sandwich. read the paper and wait.
^^^Go early eat a great breakfast and speak with some great people too. Nothing like that anticipation and talking beer with like minded folks.
