On the plus side Uber and Lyft are now allowed to pick up from LAX

Wait, they are? Great news as I am flying out today and returning on Sunday. I was planning on taking a taxi to the Taco Bell or Carls Jr that is just down the street and calling Uber from there.

Unfortunately, I am not going to have time to get a beer at the airport. Not that the Virgin terminal has anything good anyway.

I've always been able to have Uber drop me off and pick me up from LAX so I still don't quite understand the difference now. Is this just UberX? I've always used Black to get there and back.

Thank you for all the suggestions. Rock and Brews looks like exactly what we're looking for. We don't have time to go offsite and in any event no place is worth going through TSA lines again!

FYI - For anyone who has a 3+ hour layover at LAX and would like to check out Three Weavers (off of Manchester Blvd) & don't want to use a taxi or uber/lyft to get there, you could take the Enterprise bus over to their car rental building and walk 10 minutes to the brewery. Do the opposite to get back to the terminals. Or you can Uber it to Three Weavers from Enterprise. You'll save a few $. LAX traffic (Century Blvd) is a a nightmare these days and will be for a couple of years as there are a lot of ongoing construction. Especially on Century Blvd with the extension of the train line into the terminals.
