Bottle release this Sunday at noon at the LBC taproom. Two-bottle limit. Hubris will be available on draft at both LBC and Lynnwood Grill. On Tuesday (8/9) bottles will be available [limit two] for sale at Lynnwood Grill.
I wish they would can this and sell a 4 pack of 16oz cans for the same price they currently sell the bombers for. Do they brew it on the old system in the restaurant?
Dang I was hoping this would be in cans, I've never had it before so I know nothing about it. Reckon I can get it on tap Sunday or Tuesday? I'll be driving back from Charleston on Sunday would be a good stop when I get back in.
It usually will last a week or more on tap, especially if they don't do growlers and I want to say I heard they will not this go around.
No growlers this time is what they've been saying. I imagine it will be on tap for a couple weeks at least. Will be interesting to see how bottles go with a 2 per limit. Probably will last a couple days at least I would think.
Ha I mean I wish that too, I wish that every beer I liked would be sold for cheaper than it currently is. Hubris is a little pricey, but they would lose quite a bit of money if they sold 4-packs of 16 oz cans for the same price as the bombers. I don't think you'll find many breweries anywhere selling DIPA's at $10 a 4-pack. Not good ones at least. They do have 4-packs of Hop on Top for $10 though and they're great. Sitting here looking at them dated 8/3 at Ridgewood.
I asked about a bottle count and they said they weren't sure (still in the process of bottling). They mentioned a second batch, so maybe we'll see something soon or later this fall.
Usually I have Hubris on draft, but the one time I bought a bottle it was $15 (at a bottle shop). Are they $10 at the brewery?
Gotcha. I could possibly be underestimating a little bit at $10 but I think it's closer to that than $15 normally for sure. Will be interesting to see what the do at the brewery this time, they have sold bottles at the restaurant before but not at the actual brewery. But if it's $15 then yeah I'd agree with you.
I went tonight. Yeah that was one incredible IPA, right there with the bests I've had from NC. If not the best. I need to revisit Pernicious. Drank too easy for damn near 9%, dangerous!
I snagged one from Bestway yesterday, might have been the last unless they had more in the back. It was my first and I was not disappointed, might be my new fav NC DIPA, will have to have another Freak to decide.
Btw was at the brewery on Saturday and they said it was about to kick, but that the 2nd batch would be hitting the taps soon. Not sure how long of a lag in between, but the point is if you're heading there this week for Hubris I'd call first to confirm it's pouring. No idea if this is also the case at the Grill or not.
That is funny, I was at the Grill Saturday and same thing. Keg kicked, but more coming in a week. They also had bottles available at the grill Saturday night.
