Some nice beer on that list and some which return for another year. I'll hopefully stock up on a bit of Westmalle and Rodenbach. I'm curious as to whom their featured brewer might be!
I too am interested in the Rodenbach Vintage. Can someone shed some light on how it (Vintage) differs from other beers from the brewery? As I understand it, Flanders Reds are barrel aged and blends of young and old beer. The majority of the blend is sold as Classic while the 'most-bestest' tasting blend (according to the brewer?) is bottled as the Grand Cru. How does the Vintage fit into this classification?
Nailed it. Guess I should have just checked the brewery website , which states Vintage is made from "...the [single] cask which has produced the best beer after two years of maturation: “cask of the year”. " They go on to say it's 100% matured beer rather than a blend of old and young beers like Classic and Grand Cru. Now the question I cannot find an answer to, is Vintage pasterized like the rest of the Rodenbach line-up?
Rodenbach Vintage will be the highlight of this release for sure. It'll take a few years, but it's a tasty beverage. What's up with the pricing on LTM?
Piggybacking on the winter release thread to say that I was at the Yonge and Summerhill LCBO this morning and the Mikeller feature is on the floor (5/6 of it anyway). They had eight cases of each out, and not more than 3-4 bottles missing as of 10:30 AM this morning. The best before dates are as follows (FWIW): K:rlek Pale Ale 25/06/16 Texas Ranger 19/06/18 Green Gold IPA 19/06/16 Cream Ale 19/06/17 Monk's Brew 25/06/20 No sign of the Black. Cheers.
I was there too. Was Coronaeus the guy walking around, just missing bumping into everything? k:rlek is the summer, so drink up despite expiry date
Lol! Could be. I threw out my back last week and am walking with a bit of a limp and a lot of pain. Carrying the basket full of beer was excruciating. Walking straight was impossible. I figured as long as I am off work, I might as well be productive. I think a couple of those dates might need to be taken with a big grain of salt.
Rochefort 10 and the Mayan chocolate chipotle just because it's a curveball is about all I'm looking at on this one.
For what its worth, I had Green Gold and it had a nice balance between malt and hops, similar hop profile to Red Racer but subdued, and a bit of an old ale malt taste. Double IPA meets ESB. I went out and grabbed another, despite it being almost 4 months old. Possibly the long best before date is because as the hops fade it becomes a pleasant (mini) malt bomb.

Happy to see Cuvee Van De Keizer Blauw coming back, definitely going to grab a few of those and some of the St. Berny stuff too
There is one available south of the border with the same name that has the following: Don de Dieu Trois Pistoles Blanche de Chambly Ephemere Apple Fin du Monde Maudite. No idea if this one will be different, despite the same name.
To the jerk who purchased all 24 Rochefort 10's from the Barrie Yonge St LCBO. Screw you, man. On another note, any news on a winter brewery feature this year?
Read on Read on BarTowel that the program is under review, so unlikely to see anything going forward. Mikkeller might be their last one ever! http://www.bartowel.com/board/viewtopic.php?t=9938
HelloLCBO says: "The Rodenbach Vintage release will be postponed until the middle/end of February". Aw well...
