Well since the rescheduling makes me not able to go I guess you'll have to split the allocation with me...

If my 2nd set wasn't spoken for I'd be more than happy to do this.

Any guesses how long the limited bottles will last?

    My guess is 3-4 hours.

Also, those tag lines for the variants are pretty lazy. "Who knew decadence tasted so good?"

I think this would be a good estimate. There's several releases going on in RVA Saturday so the crowds may not be overly large even considering it's their 2nd anniversary. The last release I went to out there was Batchelors Delight / Coconut Delight in July. The coconut variant also had a 500 bottle limit. Probably less than 50 people in line when they released at Noon and when I left around 1pm they were less than 1/2 way through the 500. The line was also non existent at 1pm. You could walk right up and purchase your bottles. For those who cannot make it until later then fact they are releasing 4 total bottles may be a blessing. Other than those people who show up to just about every notable bottle release in the area and get their limit of bottles and likely some who plan to trade them I really do not see a lot of people leaving with a total of 6-8 bottles each. Many will probably end up with 1 I bet. Even not counting "The Source" collab bottle that is $130+ of beer just for the Decadences if you get your 2 bottle limit of all 3.

The Source and Decadence are $12. Raspberry/Coffee and Coffee Decadence are $14. For the 2 Decadence sets and 1 "The Source" bottle its only $92.

Ah, thanks for the clarification. I forgot these were not BA so just thought $20+ since the past few releases I attended were barrel beers. Sorry to confuse.

Think we're hitting this. In light of this:

Due to the number of people who come to our events we can not offer tasting flights or fill growlers.

Anybody have an idea how big the pours will be? I'm thinking country roads+high abv beers+full pours is not a very good equation.

Should be full pours. Pic on the left is a pour of their 1st Anniversary Party Last year and right
is Coconut Delight Release in July (The pour was of Despot). Beer tickets are $7 and good for anything they are pouring. They could have the Decadence beers going for smaller pours just to be able to accommodate more people but that's just a guess. For their 1st Anniversary last year they had an option of $25 for a glass pint glass and that provided you with unlimited 4oz (maybe it was 6oz) pours of anything. Not sure if they will offer that this year or not.

p.s. I have not seen them in person but I have heard local law enforcement is aware of the bigger LCCB events and will setup to catch people as they are leaving. Probably located somewhere on Rt 6. [IMG]

I would totally drive up for this. But I am working Durham Beer Fest tomorrow. That coffee decadence sounds perfect.

Early pics from friends are showing police setting up at the entrance drive to the brewery and not necessarily for crowd control. Be smart out there.

Had a great time there today. The release was very smooth, I didn't wait very long for the Decadence and I was one of the lucky last few to get bottles at about 2:00. I'm definitely glad they moved it to today, the weather was beatuiful.

Superb. The ones I was least looking forward to actually ended up being my favorites. I expected the highlights to be the coffee and the regular Decadence. Both of them were fantastic, I would put them right up there with Despot. However, I was surprised at how much I liked The Source -- I was disappointed that I didn't get a bottle. It has a better aroma than any beer I've had in a long, long time. And the raspberry Decadence was probably my favorite, overall. I think the fruit/chocolate combo could have been a bit overwhelming, but it was so incredibly tasty.
