I just got out of there about 15 mins ago. The staff is having fun building the drama as the case pile gets lower and taking their time to replenish it. When we first got there I counted about 75 in front of me.

 

So did they actually sell out like the guy on ratebeer said or is there still some left?

 

Sold out with LOTS of people still in line. Drove in from Cleveland, pretty bummed. Wish they would have lowered the limit given that they had about 50 fewer cases to sell then last year.

 

I can't believe they never thought to lower to allotment per person. I think this release would've been handled better had some certain staff from previous releases been there.

Doing a cash only also would have made the line move much quicker

 

I think they had more like 900 cases less than last year.

 

another release. another crapload of pissed off people that got burned calling it the worst release ever. wasn't idiot's drool the worst release ever? and then the last cuvee de castleton, too?
rule #1) beer releases are not the same as they used to be anymore. never say "well, last year..."

Yeah, it's a bummer, but what can ya do. First world problems. I just wish they had mentioned how limited the supply was this year. Three hours in line and all i got was this nice sunburn.

 

Agree. Each of these releases should be treated like Black Friday meaning get there hours early or camp out the night before. Hopefully it doesn't get to the point where that is not enough.
