Hate to start a whole thread about this, but there are no more brewery threads, so here goes.

I've been looking all over for this beer for a buddy of mine, with no luck. Talked to someone at Specs today, and was told its been deleted from their system recently, and they have none in stock at any of their stores.

What's the deal? Is it not being made any more? Seems strange it was totally deleted from Specs system. Anyone know anything about this?

I got one from RS Mart on Rosewood / 11th about a month ago. I'll check sometime in the next few days and see if any are left

Where are you? Pretty sure I've seen it just about everywhere in Houston. If you're not in Houston I can help you out if you can't find any where you are.

In stock at a bunch of places in Dallas. If you still need a bottle and you're going to Freetail this saturday, msg me and I can bring one down.

I doubt this helps you, but Hay Merchant has Le Petit Prince on cask right now.

    I'm in Austin area, btw.

Thanks for all the offers/tips/etc., but I wasnt so much fishing for places that have it than trying to find out of its actually still being made, or if this is stock sitting on shelves thats been there a while.

I'm just confused by why the product itself would have been deleted from Specs system, apparently very recently, unless they expected not to be carrying it any more.

Maybe one of the JK guys can jump in and clarify

I remember Jeff saying that they love to drink it at the brewery due to the low alcohol content. I would be very surprised if they stopped making it. Have you mailed him? Usually the best way to get an answer.

Not sure if it's discontinued but its readily available in Corpus. I'll be at Freetail as well and would gladly grab you a bottle if you like.

When I bought atrial, I tried to buy a bottle of Le Petit Prince and they were all sold out. Made me super sad. Petit Prince is my favorite non-sour JK beer.

Yep it is great, my favorite beer to have while I'm cooking. Would be a huge bummer if they stopped making it, but I doubt that would be the case.

I'm not sure what the issue is with the system at Specs. I'll have to inquire about it. Le Petit Prince is one of my favorite beers we make. It also has functional and philosophical importance in our opinion. We have Le Petit Prince in the tank right now, and we'll never stop making it.

Thread shift, but I had this and Stone IRS aged on French Oak on cask at Haymerchant, and I highly highly recommend trying the Stone. So good. Brought on a bunch more flavors than I remember. I couldn't tell if it was the oak, cask, or both, but man was it great.

Thanks for chiming in, Jeff. I was kinda shocked to hear that it was out of Specs system, so good to know its just them being ridiculous again, and not an issue with the beer not being available. I shall continue my search!

Oh, and this is why having brewery threads was a great thing - the brewers get to participate. But I guess we're not allowed to have nice things any more.....

In defense of Specs, I think this may stem from us putting the wrong UPC code on Funk Metal a while back. Bottles of Funk Metal were ringing up at Le Petit Prince.

Could be, but they had it in store just a few weeks ago, and he told me it was just recently deleted, so if thats the case it just took them a LONG time to get around to deleting that UPC code.

Whatever, I'll find it somewhere else (saw some at Whole Foods recently). Just wanted to make sure it was still going to be made - one of my "classic" favorites you guys make.
