Getting a leak inside the adjustment knob when i increase the pressure but it goes away when i back it out.I'm waiting for taprite to respond but i don't see anything broke or torn. This dual guage is brand new. The other side is fine and there's no leaks in the guage. Anyone have this problem before.
I can hear it. Only happens when i increase the pressure. Also took the knob off and pressed on the diaphragm and it was hissing. I'm going to bring it back with the tank connected and see if the hbs knows anything.
My experience with hundreds of Taprites is that they just fail sometimes. Same with every other manufacturer too. It is not at all uncommon for the diaphragm or spring to fail, sometimes right out of the box. This appears to be a bad spring. It is not applying the enough force to keep the diaphragm closed when backed out but has enough when it is compressed. The spring counter acts against the tank pressure. The rebuild kit is a few dollars and really easy to install but if you can get it replaced from the vendor that is easier. There is roughly 800 psi of gas pressure trying to force open the mechanism. If not for the tiny orifice the whole thing would be in pieces. There is nothing to adjust on the inside of the regulator. It is either set up correctly and it works or it doesn't. Cheers
Ok thanks. I thought the copper tube in the guage had a leak but that wasn't it. I'm going to bring my co2 tank and make sure the next one is ok.
