Leaking bottles from a trade.

    Has anyone ever had a leaking bottle, or potential faulty cap that they have pried off, and then purged with co2 and recapped? I had a couple leakers I was thinking about doing this with.. suggestions?

    I've had this happen before with a bottle checked on a plane. It leaked about 10% of the beer and it was mostly flat, but it showed no signs of oxidation I drank it immediately. If the bottle is still leaking, I would try to re-cap the cap that's already on it (without taking it off).
