Tart of Darkness was the first drain pour I've ever had. Terribly disappointed after paying $30 a bottle. Sad.

Pumpkin Ales & Christmas ales...leave the baking spices in the bakery. I prefer hearty winter beers to the cinnamon, nutmeg, all spice variety. Not a huge fan of fruit beers, save for a select few lambics, this goes for the shandy that many people have flipped their wigs over. Light beer is right up there as well, if you don't want calories & carbs, water works everytime.

Not that they're the worst tasting beer or anything, but one style I couldn't give a crap about these days is pale ale. I mean, why?

I haven't had every style, that includes Sours and Smoked Beers. Of those I've tried, Pumpkin beers are easily the ones I dislike the most.

Now, the style that I think of least often is American IPA/ DIPA. It's not that I dislike them, it's just that, aside from Celebration at Christmas time, I never think about IPAs, never crave them, never even look at them in my bottle shop. That's probably because I seemingly skip the aisles where the West Coast beers all are and spend all my time looking at Goose Island, Founders and European beers. I only regret that because I love everything Anchor Brewing makes and I usually forget about them too.

Sours/ funk etc in general, they don't taste like beer more like cider, flavored fruity water etc. Don't like the Belgian yeast strains, and Brett brews.

Not to sound like the beer police, but pilsners are lagers. In fact, lager isn't even a style of beer, it's a process of fermentation.

    To answer the OP:
    Scottish ales and wilds/sours/lambics.

Also, I have completely lost my taste for anything with Belgian yeast. Sounds crazy, I know, but I haven't had any desire to drink a belgian in a long time. I am assuming my enjoyment of them will come back, but who knows, perhaps its gone forever, ha!

Anything hop forward. Tried Heady Topper to see what all the fuss was about. My take: somebody put their Christmas tree through a juicer and then threw a few grapefruits in for good measure. Bitter, piney flavor. No thank you.

    Sours.

I've had a few different styles from good examples and just can't jive with them. I've had Dissident, Temptation, Consecration and last night, Rodenbach Grand Cru.
