I try not to let style descriptions dictate if I will try a beer or not anymore, as I have found that there are surprises in pretty much every category to date. But with that being said, I find that Belgians and Amber Ales seem to be far more misses than hits with me.

I've lost my appreciation for most barley wines, with Old Foghorn being the exception.

I have little interest in beers aged in bourbon barrels. This year will be the first in many years where I won't seek out KBS.

    That's about it for me

Pumpkin - wife loves 'em but there are only a couple I can tolerate. Close second would be anything with blueberry that I have tried - keeping an open mind on that one since I generally dig bleuberries.

I'm not sure if there are any styles I dislike as a whole. I don't like Czech pilsners (or certain English ales) that have a strong diacetyl character, but that's pretty much it.

Doppelbocks, rauchbiers, "radlers", and most Tripels. Other than that, I'm willing to give just about anything a go.

    FLANDERS RED ALE/GRAND CRU

rodenbach grand cru is like drinking vinegar. just disgusting stuff... i am open to trying some sour beers... but really, i don;t see myself "coming around" to sours... as many have said: "i will try one but...."

lambics, it is just not beer for me. it works at a picnic with some cheese and crackers. but i would not drink one after dark.

i am surprised anyone still makes a BROWN ALE, and then i see some brewery like DFH with a "special brown ale!" with added booze and etc etc. that is just a science experiment... brown ales are a thing of the past.

like... WHY did anchor make the "small beer"? ok, it is historically interesting and in a sustainability sense, i get it, you are using every last drop.... and if you are the brewer in the small 19th c. town and you can't afford to let a drop hit the ground (the town is counting on you!), then ok, you make a Small Beer and the pub serves it for lunch.... but i mean come on.

    what's next? barrel-aged small beer?

RED/AMBERs and WHEATS --- i know why they're there, but i rarely rarely consider ordering one. on a saturday afternoon in july when it is 98 degrees and i am sitting outside ordering a wood-fired pizza, i might order a wheat beer with lemon, and think, "i'll get a beer next."

Sam Adams and Flat Tire... oh never mind.

I dont like many fruit beers, Dark Horse Tres Blueberry Stout EXCLUDED of course, that shit is the chronic. I REALLY have to be in the mood for a Belgian, but thats a bullshit statement, because of the HUGE variety of Belgians, because I freaking LOVE so many of them.... Is this a trick question? Heres one that will make you think, Im not into anything barrel aged. I dont like whiskey, period. I dont want my stout to taste like whiskey. If someone gave me a bottle of BCBS dont get me wrong, Im sure I could choke it down, (never had it) and Id actually like to try it, but the last time I had something like that I gave it to my dad and said geeeeez no thanks. I dont get much into pilsners, or adjunct lagers i.e. BMC. But theres another bullshit statement, because I really dig a Grolsch here and there and I started off drinking Miller Light and Heineken. I just cant say I "dislike" any style. There is ALWAYS one that I will like, and if there isnt, I dont let that stop me from trying more and more different breweries take on that style. What kind of BA would I be if I didnt do that? I like to take my own advice- you just havent found the right one yet. I have said that to a hundred different people that tell me they dont like beer. Just cuz of all the negative things said about a particular style actually make me WANT to try it. So Im totally buying a Lambic next time I see one, cuz Ive never had one!

Not counting adjunct lagers, probably brown ales and witbiers. I'll still drink 'em as I still don't hate those styles, they're just the least exciting to me.
