Pumpkin beers, spiced winter-style beers, and smoke beers don't do it for me. Can't get into barleywines either for the most part.

All the dislike for sours and lambics is beyond my comprehension though! Sooooo good, the more sour the better to me! To hear of people drainpouring Tart of Darkness is beyond what my mind comprehends as sad. :slight_frown:

Sierra Nevada Bigfoot is a great example of an American Barleywine

and Anchor Old Foghorn is a great English Barleywine for a baseline as well. A lot of American brewers claim to brew English style Barleywines, but I usually get a lot of American hop flavors that make me think they should've just called it a barleywine & left it at that...

I would have to say the scottish style is my least favorite... or any type of brown ale. Never seem to enjoy them

Actually I have, and sadly enough, it was my first ever drain pour. Very upsetting

I've yet to find a wheat beer of any particular style which I really enjoyed. However, I used to feel the same about stouts and have come around of those.

Gotta go with smoked beers. Had a few, including ccb maduro brown. Tasted like someone dropped their cigar in the bottling line. Fucking gross.

OK, I was wrong. THIS WINS IT:

Voodoo Doughnut Chocolate, Banana & Peanut Butter Ale

Ok, now I know Rogue's is just screwing with us. Pure crap in a bottle. No longer funny Rogue, seriously, put the joint DOWN and FOCUS............

I understand the hate for Rauchbiers but I'm not sure which ones you are trying because I've never had one that was boozy.

I know this opinion will be unpopular, but the more beer I drink the more I hate anything that's hop forward. IPAs and everything beyond are just repulsive to me.

Not a fan of brown ales either.

Who the hell buys Tart of Darkness if they're not a sour fiend??

I am going to buy all the KBS and dump it in the ocean.

Anyway, back on track: pumpkin beers are something I've never really liked. I find German sour styles to be hit or miss for me, though in general I love sours.

Blonde and Amber ales. Basically boring styles made by brewpubs for AAL drinkers.
Most spiced beers. Typically amber ales with spices added. Adding something to a mediocre does not make it good.
Belgian IPAs. I've had very few that can balance the hops and the yeast. Typically ends up being a mess
Extremely hoppy American Barleywines. I know American barleywines is a broad category but I really dislike the ones that border on an DIPA. I want balance/heavier on the sweetness when it comes to barleywines and the overly bitter ones I do not enjoy.
