I'm thinking of making a very light colored IPA with these two ingredients. I have used both in wheat beers to good effect. Any experience with these in IPA? Which hops might complement or detract? Any advice would be appreciated.
Cascade or Centennial? Hops that wouldn’t over power the lemongrass and coriander. Ones that would bring the citrus, earthy, spiciness together. Just my opinion as I’ve never attempted that before.
I used some powdered lemongrass recently in a beer (at flameout). Most guys that tried it said the lemongrass was much on the nose, like "kissing your grandmother" too much. Most gals that tried it loved it. I used 1/2 ounce in a 5 gallon batch and will dial it back next time for sure.
