Seeing as summer's fast approaching, I'm wondering what you like for sessions beers, aside from the well-known and well-loved, e.g. Founders All Day IPA, Sierra Nevada Pale Ale, Weihenstephaner Hefeweissbier, etc...

For me, being a North East local, I'm particularly keen on Victory Summer Swing, Tröegs Sunshine Pils, and Flying Fish Saison.

    Cheers to a long summer!

I'd give Flying Fish Extra Pale Ale a shot. Also Southern Tier Hop Sun and Live, all being North East beers

Thanks for the comment, especially one local in nature! Pretty soon we're gonna rival the West Coast!

I mentioned it in another thread, but I'm surprisingly really digging Widmer's Citra Blonde. 4.4% abv. If you go in not expecting a citra bomb, it's quite tasty and refreshing.

Odd sides citra pale ale. It sits at I think 5.75 but it is a hop blast.

Many lambics are low in ABV and refreshing.. Usually IPAs are the session beer style.

Really enjoyed the crispness of Green Flash Saison Diego when I had it!

I usually turn to Victory Headwaters when I want a session beer. Delicious tropical and citrus hops at only 5.1%.

Peak Summer Session. 5% abv and some tasty amarillo hops when fresh. Probably my favorite of the summer seasonals.

Widmer does good IPAs and pale ales, I enjoyed the Citra Blonde last summer. It's the beer you bring to a BBQ with non-beer geeks. Just enough hops for me to enjoy it, but light enough in body that everyone will drink it without complaint.

5 Rabbit's 5 Lizard, 4.2% (or thereabouts) and absolutely delicious. Brewed with lime zest and coriander, it tastes like summer. And it's Randy Mosher's brewery, so it's going to at *least* be interesting.

No doubt if I can get enough for a "session."

Don't tell anyone on BeerAdvocate, but I session the hell out of Summer Shandy...

Tallgrass Pub Ale is a 4.4% Brown Ale that was recently re-released in cans and is highly sessionable.
