Less Malty DIPAs

    They weren't fresh then. I've had super fresh bottles and old ones and the old ones were always a malty mess like you described. Had the opportunity to visit Moylan's on a business trip and had it fresh on tap from the source and the bitterness set the bar really high compared to all the other bitter IPA's I've had, if you had a fresh one, you'd definitely remember it. Pretty much stinks that you've had a bad experience with it so far. For me, it's one of the hoppiest I've had and I'm a huge hop head who bleeds green.

    Thanks for the responses. I was lucky enough to get out to SF and try some Pliny on tap, and I must say, I wasn't disappointed. That was a great beer. Lots more options to see out now.
