GWL pizza is top-5 worst pizza of all time. my kids leftover chicken tenders were pretty decent. going back in March, hoping can find a Dominos close by for a 10x pizza upgrade.

Silvaticus is still not known to most and will likely stay that way unless beer tastes shift heavily towards lagers and saisons.

Widowmaker in Braintree is also a pretty cool under the radar spot. Pretty standard offerings, but well done. And their taproom is huge. Near the Blue Hills, so a good spot to hit after a morning hike. However, the location kinda blows from a traffic perspective since it's right at the 93 split.

there is a place called Mike's Pizza, 10 minutes away and right down the street from Wachusett brewery. Not amazing or anything, but better than GWL and better than Domino's.

Also a family friendly restaurant near Mike's called the 1761 Old Mill that is great. Old school place where they serve pecan rolls and giant plates of food, and right next to a beautiful waterfall. Not a ton of beer to choose from, but still worth a ride over eating at the GWL.

Seconding Silvaticus, they're definitely in my top-ten MA breweries.

Visited Skyroc brewing in Attleboro this past weekend and thought it was solid, taproom was quite full and I was very impressed with the toasted maple winter warmer I had - nice to have a very maple-forward beer that avoided being cloying and wasn't a lactose sugar-bomb or up into double-digit abvs

Old Planter's in Beverly has a nice little taproom and good beer

Oak & Iron in Andover will never be a must-stop juice bomb maker, but they've got a good variety of styles, and a chill vibe.

If you liked that Skyroc beer I would check out Ravenous, which is convenient to Mass: they just moved the taproom to right off the first I-295 exit in RI (Diamond Hill Rd Rt. 114). Ravenous dabbles in the hazy pales, but their red and brown ales and stouts are very tasty and drinkable without a high ABV.

They also did an awesome job with the taproom after that shed they had in Woonsocket. Must have had a slumlord for an owner over there!

I absolutely love this place. The work they did with this move paid off incredibly. Beautiful. Plus, the beer is outstanding.
If they are considered lesser known, they shouldn't be.
My two minor complaints about the new spot...
I wish the outside area was nicer. It is nice for what it is but I like more of a grassy, picnic type vibe. This isn't really fair because they are in the city and the outside courtyard has improved dramatically since when they first opened the new spot. Some breweries have no outside area at all so consider this complaint way down the list (of two).
My other complaint carries a little more weight. That neighborhood is not great. If you leave the brewery and walk a block or two in the wrong direction, watch out. Can you tell I'm not a city person?
    That is all. Great brewery.

Yes! And the Nashua River Brewfest is a lotta fun, every summer and very close to River Styx.

Honest Weight has a very chill taproom in a quiet town (Orange, where they filmed Castle Rock) in western MA. Old mill town vibes and some of the best grisettes/saisons in the state IMO.

They've been distributing a few cans of their hoppy stuff lately as well. A little pricy but recommended if you're looking for a drier/more balanced take on NEIPAs.

Counter Weight in Hamden, CT does not have their own thread but they are releasing their Rauchbier tomorrow. I believe they still have cans of an oak conditioned Czech Pils and a Schwarzbier. Some would argue their hoppy beers are the best in CT as well.
