Loogies aside, surly could put just about anything in High West barrels and I would clamber for it.

I recently toured the High West Distillery in Park City Utah & sampled several whiskeys. One selection called Campfire really stood out. It is their rye whiskey blended w/ a % of scotch whisky. This is an amazing combination of an American made rye whiskey w/ a nice smoke peat flavor. It would be great if Surly could snag a few of those barrels for some great Smokey peat Darkness....Call it SPD!!!

Hopefully you didn't do too much sleuthing.

I can't wait to find out what it will be. As much as the last two anniversary releases have been polarizing, I hope they continue to go outside the box on styles. Not that I would complain about a barrel-aged barleywine or stout, I just like to try things that haven't been done by so many others. Regardless, I doubt that bottles of this will still be on the shelves months after the release (as the past two releases have been).
