On my 2nd right now and loving this batch. Not only is it approachable but, despite being a person who rarely has more than one of the same beer in the same night, I never feel like switching to something else. I won't shy away from having 2, 3, or 4 in a row.

Anyone know of any distributors in the Scranton pa area who have it? Or relatively close/within an hour of Scranton?

It's awfully close to that now. A place that had it for weeks last year was sold out by 5:00pm yesterday (25 cases) and I got one of the last three at another place about an hour later. Hopefully, this insanity is just because of the delay, but I fear that NN is now an endangered species in terms of being easy to find. I never thought I'd see the day that this happened, but I guess was inevitable. I wonder what the next beer to get blown up will be. Mad Elf? KBS, HopSlam, now NN, all gone. I'm starting to get really annoyed with all of this.

If you have time tonight, you may want to go the first wave isn't already gone. I wish I was joking.

Sad, but true. BA, RB, Facebook, Twitter, whatever-the-hell-else are making our old favorites harder and harder to attain. I don't see this trend reversing any time soon, either.

Hard to disagree with this. When I got to Exton yesterday, there were at least 25 cases stacked up. I'm shocked to hear that they are all gone, but I guess that will happen when a heavily anticipated beer runs for only $48/case or whatever they were selling them for.

Like with Hopslam, most of the bars in the area will be tapping Nugget Nectar in the next couple of weeks. I know that Drafting Room is tapping it today. Everybody who wants to drink it will get the chance to and not have to deal with a huge hassle. In that respect, you can't compare it to KBS/CBS/Younger/etc. Sure it may be hard to land a case, but everybody will get their fill if they care to.

With NN, we get so much of it in Northern NJ, that if you care enough you can get it easily just by knowing when your store's going to get it. And, thanks to the increased production, most of the places that get it by me have gone from getting 5-10 cases a few years ago, to 20, 30, even 40 cases nowadays...

Maybe it's just not that sought after here, but I can go around and buy up all I want right now in Delaware.

As for the next big thing, it already seems pretty hard to find Flower Power in the city (for me at least). Maybe an under the radar blow up? Is that even possible?

It was certainly like that last year, but I'll be interested to see what the case is this year. The beer scene in NJ has grown exponentially over the past few years.

Granted, I do agree with you. I'm not particularly worried about picking up a few sixers when it hits distro next week

Seems like a lot of it might be the delay coupled with the fact that not all of it was delivered in this first wave. i think we need to wait and see how the NN season shakes out before rushing to judgment. They are making 25% more too. Last year I felt like I had to get on a list to get my case and the first wave sold out really quickly. Jumped on my 2nd case two weeks later to make sure I got enough. It was still on the shelves a month later.

Did not know this, but seems logical as they just moved into a bigger facility. Hopefully they don't try to stretch it too thin and open up 50% more markets with 25% more beer.

That's well and fine, but I prefer my doom and gloom outlook. ;-)
This way things can only get better.
