I'm going to visit the brewery in Hershey tomorrow. Hope to sample some fresh from the source and pick up some as well to take home. I'm not sure Frederick, MD has it yet. I stocked up so well last week on beer, I haven't been to the stores in over 9 days to see what's new.

Yeah, that old crap you have still sitting around is probably stale and really nasty tasting by now. I'll be glad to trade you the "most preferred beer in America"...4 Bud Lights for each 1 of your old NN's!

Yeah I went to my local beer nutz and was surprised to see it at $39.99 about 10 bucks a sixer is a steal!

Feel kind of bad seeing people pay 47-53 for this, especially people in PA but supply and demand and all they knew it was worth it.

It seems all shops on Long Island got a max of 5 cases... i hear another drop on Monday from Union...

my shop held me a case, but before that i went 2 other shops... 1 was 1 6pack per, had to give my name and addy to make sure i only got 1 (was 13.99)... another place had 1 case left, I bought 2 6packs (15.99 each)... then hit my shop up later on after they confirmed they got their delivery and got 1 case (66 for the case)

Yeah it is rather limited on long island right now it sucks. I was lucky to get a case from my regular shop and I paid $59. They said they only got like 4 cases, I really am kind of shocked at that.

Where do you go that it was that expensive for a six pack? $15.99 is insane...I thought mine was expensive at $13.50 with tax.

I wish they had bombers this year too...

Jeez, I was @ the brewery on 2/20 and watched thousands of bottles go by on the line with none to be had. Finally got a couple of 6'ers @ Wegmans in Malvern tonite. Photo Credit: Jeff Callahan! [IMG]

well my case was about 1.50 more per 6 than you paid it seems...

2 of the 6 packs i got for 15.99 + tax + deposit was at McBreen's Beverage in Lynbrook, first time in that shop, i was near sunrise so i hit it up. Beverage Barn in Garden City Park was 13.99 per 6pack.

I was'nt saying you overpaid for your case at all, heck, I would have paid that. It's the $16(+tax&deposit) six pack seemed excessive to me is all, I was just curious as I know where not to go now, thanks.

Well as I tell everyone, we're in New York, where everything is rediculously expensive. Also prices seem to vary a lot more here then in other states. But hey, I don't complain when we get releases other(less populated) states don't get.

Shangys had it today, $47 including tax. The girl suggested it would be gone soon as they only had 50 cases.

This batch has more malt / biscuit character than I recall other batches having. That's not a bad thing in itself, it's not really a normal double IPA being an "Imperial Red." Just doesn't pop quite as much as I expected.

I talked to Beers of the World guy yesterday and he thought it wasn't going to hit the distributor (Sheehans?) until March 5th. Good grief, what takes so long?

I agree with esp with the variation. Some releases are cheaper in NYC than LI which I find odd but at least I get them so I'm. Not complaining.

If anyone in Philly is still looking for a case, we have about 5 left at Bell Beverage as of closing last night. $46 and change after tax.

The 6'er I got from Beverage Barn in Garden City Park were bottled on 2/21/12... yummy freshness.

East Meadow Beverage Barn and Bellmore Beverage are getting 5 cases each on Monday.

I sort of agree after a first glass or two. I'll update my opinion after drinking some more tonight.

I was at the brewery last night and it was crazy busy. They are sold out of cases of NN at the brewery. The one bartender told me they only had a small amount of NN left on draft, too. So, get there today if you can, I think it will be gone soon!
FYI, the triple Mango IPA that is on tap is freaking delicious!

Soooo since I had nothing better to do today, my wife suggested we go to Shangy's for NN (she rules. we live in North Jersey about 90 miles away). Anyway, we got there, and got the 2nd to last case. One case limit, guy after me got the last one, whew. Anyway, grabbed a case of 2 hearted and i was content.

Then a strange turn of events....a guy came in and said "do you guys have hopslam?" People looked at him like "yeah ok guy you missed the boat on that by about 3 weeks." To my surprise, not only do they have hopslam, but they were offering cases to whoever wanted. so that guy, me and another guy next to me all got cases. Not sure how many they have total but Shangy's has hopslam as of noon today...

Feel pretty good with a case of NN, slam, and two hearted to keep me busy the rest of the weekend :-) :-) :-)
