Saw it at the local distro the other day; he said he "thinks" it's around $42 before tax. I already had a case of something else under my arm, so I wasn't in a hurry to have him double check. But dangit, I just might have to go back.

I was at the troegs brewery today and came out empty handed. No non to be found. Lines for fresh tap beer were way too long. Went to beer store down the street in Hershey and they were out of nn as well. I'm in Harrisburg for rest of the day. Does anyone know where I can find some nn?

Wegmans or Al's of Hampden would be my two bets for Harrisburg.

someone on facebook was arguing that this year's batch is crap. and that he spoke to the owner of troeg's today and he said that the batch was compromised due to the hop harvest? am i insane and don't notice a difference?

This was the first year (of the last three) that I actually enjoyed the NN. If they screwed it up, then sign me up. The more I've been drinking this beer, the more I'm enjoying it. I'm kind of wishing this was available in the summertime.

Sorry, but at least the bottles I have taste different than last year. Less juicy/citrusy and more of a prominent spice note.

thank you for speaking up. this is what people have been saying - less citrus, grapefruit, etc.
i think i might be in the 'not different' camp, though, because every other year i had it, i didn't pick up a lot of citrus, grapefruit, etc to begin with. =X it's always come off as a maltier DIPA type beer to me.

Less citrusy/juicy for sure if you ask me. Not spicier, but more bready malt.

Just me though, and it's still very good.

Yeah, I distinctly remember last year talking/thinking about how juicy and citrusy it was. This year, my expression was almost the complete opposite. Although I will say, I had it on tap and although I thought it tasted a little different, it certainly wasn't as noticeable as the three bottles I've opened so far. Very odd.

Just a thought, but let's see how it tastes in a few more weeks. I got to try NN uber fresh last year when they did a prerelease of NN at the Warwick. This year's version reminded me very much of the beer I had at the Warwick last year. However, by the time we (finally!) got it down in Baltimore last year (roughly a month later), I found the beer considerably sweeter and juicier. Either way it's delicious as always this year, so no complaints.

One thing that did bother me a bit (and I'll be curious to hear what central and SEPA folks say), is that so far very few beer bars here in Baltimore have put their NN on tap yet. Several places I stopped by this past week indicated they had received kegs, but were waiting for a special occasion to put them on. Typically I only see that sort of thing when a beer is considered highly desirable (check) and very limited (hopefully not the case, but it does make me wonder).
