    I was amazed by Le Terroir. I had La Folie afterward and loved it, but it wasn't the extravaganza that Le Terroir was.

    Ive had several gose and they aren't my style. Ill drink them but i don't look for them.

    On the other hand, Ommegang Rosetta, a Flanders Oud Bruin, was fucking amazing i wish i could find more of that style.

    RR - Supplication, Temptation , Consecration , Beatification...they're all great.

    and Almanac here in the Bay area a bunch of really tasty ones. Dogpatch sour, strawberry reserve , Valley of the hearts delight.

    I'm a big fan of the tartness of the beers.

    Love me some Russian River sour ales, Supplication and Temptation, along with Consecration. I also enjoy The Bruery Tart of Darkness.

    Pretty much drink wild beers over all other styles, since 2003. (When Fou Foune sat on shelves at $24!) I still prefer classic offerings from Europe and hauled some Cantillon & Drei Fontainen home from Belgium last year but the domestic offerings are catching up in price & quality. They all remain expensive, but you can only drink so much at a session anyway. Allagash and Hill wild releases keep me happy until I can score more geueze & lambic from across the pond, and Almanac is now here in VT - good stuff!

    Barely tried American sours, but you guys are making me to try one :slight_smile: I can get 3 Fonteinen Gueuze, Cantillon basics(gueuze, kriek, framboise, st.gilliose), Boon, Oud Beersel, Timmermans, Liefmans, Lindemans... pretty many Belgian stuffs and Cascade(soon), Russian River Supp(soon), New Belgiam La Folie. I've been to Belgium and tried some sours/lambics so my other best beers are...

    -Jacobins(Flanders Red) : Very strong acidic sour kick, but the sweet and other taste really balance it. Great beer!!
    -BFM Abbaye de Saint Bon Chien : One of my favorite high ABV sour beers. It was more like wine or something else, but damn good.
    -Russian River Beatification : Very sour, but it was also drinkable. Complex flavor... great!

    -De Struise Ypres Reserva
    -Upright Saison de Blodjet
    -Girardin Gueuze Black Label
    -3Fonteinen Oude Gueuze
    -Rodenbach Grand Cru

    These were very good too :slight_smile:

    Oude Gueuze - Hanssens Artisanaal bvba was very good. Loon iris was one of my firsts.

    Oh, sours.

    regular favourites: BFM Abbaye de Saint Bon Chien (used to live in Switzerland where this one is easy to get), Rodenbach Vintage, and Grand Cru.

    Also, lambics, of course. Girardin Gueuze unfiltered and Oud Beersel Oude Kriek are my favourite regulars.

    When going to not-so-regular beers: Oerbier Reserva. How could no one yet mention this? Then, I also hugely enjoyed most 3 Fonteinens I've had, and also Cantillons. De Cam Lambiek Special is also one of my top beers ever.

    From the US, I enjoyed Cuvée de Tomme, Consecration and Supplication most.

    looking to ferment up a sour beer - what i dont know is a lot, what i do know from reading - is you don't want to start with a highly hopped beer. Does anyone have a recommended yeast for a first time sour beer brew? Please note I love all types our sours, I just have brewed one, yet.
