I looked all these same places on Friday and didn't find it either. I did see the display @EA728 is talking about at Specs, but no Crown Valley on it (anymore).

I saw it at downtown Specs in the domestic craft warm section when I bought it, maybe 2 weeks ago

Did Crown Valley ever make it to DFW?

    Hasn't hit yet.

And it is over 17%, so places like WhichCraft, Sunrise, and E1G cannot legally sell it.

So, expect it only at Specs or other liquor stores. Granted, I know there is some form of a license that you can get to allow beer/wine stores to sell this particular beer, but there are few places that have it (Flag Store I think is one).

Found some at Specs Spring Valley tonight (they still had a fair amount of 4 packs) and some of the Quakertown Stout I was looking for that was sold out at Specs Smith St. (plus Brunch Money cuz why the hell not).

So Armadillo Ale Works makes it's way to Houston? Guess that'd because they get to take advantage of Deep Ellum's distribution while they brew out of their facility...maybe?

If you haven't had them, you'll love both Quakertown and Brunch Money. AAW makes quality beer.

My understanding from the guys at Growlers is that only Specs carries Armadillo Ale Works in Houston because they ship in between stores.

Same thing they did with Karbach in Austin (for some time) and Austin Beerworks in Houston.

I really wanted to like this one. I dunno if there is a bottle variance that we encountered Sunday night. But every single one of us poured this beer out. Blue Moon and Shock Top were better. It's a 2 on my scale. Andrew mentioned seeing varying reviews.

I was going in hoping to like it. I just couldn't. There were no spices, there was no body, it was just bad. It was maybe the consistency of a bad Amber beer.

But, I think there must be consistency issues here. I have seen a lot of people say they really liked the beer, and then others saying it flat out sucks. I am guessing there are two batches (at least) of this going around and some people got one with actual flavor while other people got one that there was nothing in it.

Texas Big Beer got me one more time....I would like to say it is the last time I will buy them, but if they come out with a beer that is bourbon barrel aged with a pixelated picture of the queen on it, and a sensual wax job, I will buy it.

I think it came and went pretty quickly. I thought I had missed out on it, but a buddy brought it over saying he found it in Humble. So you might have to check outlying shops.

I picked up some Crown Valley at Alon Market yesterday. NW Food Mart may get some later this week.

For those near Austin there is still quite a bit of Crown Valley Pumpkin Smash at HEB Bee Cave.

The #1 rule about Bee Cave is you don't talk about Bee Cave...
