Leukemia LIF(new)

    Hey guys, I did a mayo clinic LIF a few months ago to raise $$$ for my teaching friends family. I got a text today about a little girl who is six years old that beat leukemia once and is now fighting her 2nd bout with it. Here are the details.
    One box will be Shipped to the winner a week from Monday (barring weather permitting to winner)
    - every 10.00 donated will go towards one entry into the raffle.
    -if we reach 1000 in donations (or close to it ) I'll add a second box.
    Here are the beers:
    1 imperial biscotti break
    1 four pack of 2013 goose island 12 oz bottles (2 reg, 1 coffee and 1 barleywine)
    1 olde hickory Lindley park
    1 Marshall Zhukov
    1 prairie bomb
    1 imperial biscotti break with cherry on top
    1 four pack cigar city white oak jai alai
    1 CCB good gourd almighty
    1 goose island backyard bramble
    1 growler of CCB apple cinnamon cider
    1 white chocolate moo hoo
    1 cinnamon rolled wake n bake
    2 terrapin moo hoo
    2 terrapin wake n bake

    That's a lot of great beer from my cellar and many I have only one of. If
    Winner wants he can exchange out for something easier and more quantity to get.
    I know these beers are not brewery 1-offs but still a great box and going to a great cause to help this family out whose daughter needs medical attention.

    my apologies guys. i have sent back to many of the people that dontaed money to the cause. there wastn nearly as much as i thought would get raised (i think only like 150), so am sending money back and participated in an event with the family. Money was coming in so slowly and If i have niot gotten your money back witha message from paypal, it will be in the next week. i am sorry for canceling thie LIF...i thought more money would have been raised for this (similar to the other LIF I did).

    Not sure I agree with this but ok. Hope the little girl gets the help she needs.

    I'm hoping this wasn't a scam? I haven't seen a refund and I haven't seen this LIF move forward, did everyone else get their money back? @raczkowski what's the status here?

    Ya, this is the first I have seen a LIF get canceled? Has that happened before? I'm always a little hesitant when money is going directly to people and not a charity. Hopefully this does not ruin it for future charity fundraising. I have something important in the works to be posted Sunday (hopefully by Sunday).

    I sent him a message and received my refund. This whole LIF was a bit sketchy especially the wording of it's description. Not to mention it being canceled.

    He BM'ed me right away and sent the money back via PayPal so message him if you're still waiting. As for canceling the LIF, it's very unorthodox and would probably be against LIF rules if they were hardset, but it is what it is. He sent my money back so I confident it's not a scam at least.
