I'm driving up from Tennessee over to Buffalo Trace to pick up a bottle of bourbon they're holding for me. Going to be in town Friday night and Saturday. Looking for a brewery or beer bar that might not be listed in the Places section here... also interested in any can't miss food stops while we are there... thanks in advance
Mirror Twin has best beer/pizza combos. Ethereal has the best beer located somewhere that you can also get drunk at 2 distilleries, a cider maker, and another brewery. Rock House is hit and miss with food truck availability, but they are making tasty takes on normal beers, their "Derby" Pie beer sold out in about 3 hours earlier this week, and their Key Lime Pie Gose is the best around.
West sixth and ethereal, both have solid food options near by (bbq and burgers/seafood at W6, pizza and ice cream and finer American fare at ethereal). Middle fork attached to ethereal is one of my favorite restaurants period.
There's a tasting for Friends of the Trace going on and I'm going to pick my bottle up....my first chance to see my brick over there too...I'm fairly excited....
