Hey guys and gals...I will be traveling to Lexington this week (8/21-8/24) and was looking for good bottle shops, preferably with growler fills, and beer bars in general. I plan on having some 8/15 /16 Ghost in the Machine with me on the trip if anyone would be interested in trading (IP) or just sharing some bottles. Thanks for any info
Hey man, follow the New in Kentucky thread for a lot of stuff going on in town. In terms of where to look, The Beer Trappe is the best beer bar in town and have limited beers for growler fills. Liquor Barn (hamburg or beaumont center) have biggest collection of anything your looking for. I would tend to hit up Beer Trappe for rarer stuff then to Liquor barn to stock up.
I'd be interested in some Ghost. Make sure you visit West Sixth (crowler fills) and Ethereal Brewing (Growler) and Blue Stallion (growler). Country Boy does fills as well, but what they will do fills of is limited. Lucky's Grocery and the Liquor Barns have local stuff on tap and do fills, as well as HopCat, but they might be a bit pricey, though they have a wide selection of local/regional beers available.
