Imperial Biscotti Break just landed at Shenanigans, $15. A little high IMO, but they usually are. I got 2.

I've got a question for everyone:

I'm taking a box of beer up to my cousin in Michigan (SimcoeJoe). He wants Kentucky brews.
    I need some recommendations.

    So far:
    1. A couple of West Sixth offerings.
    2. Was thinking of getting a swing top filled with Knotty Pine. (Will this work?)
    3. What else?

They have KY Ale IPA at the st Patrick's festival downtown.

Surprisingly not half bad. And that out of a plastic mug.

West Sixth has a DIPA on tap right now, too. Heller Heaven, I think it's called. Good stuff.

I got lazy (I'm actually a little hungover from pounding a growler of Knotty Pine the drowning my UK tears another growler of West Sixth Brown) and just went to liquor barn. My cousin in Michigan is getting:
    1. Sixer of West Sixth IPA
    2. Arctic Panzer Wolf (He can't get 3 Floyds)
    3. New Albanian Yakima Rye (meh, close enough to KY)
    4. KY Ale Bourbon Bbl Stout

It was very good the first time it was released. I saw on Facebook that they put out an Irish Ale as well.

My haul in Seattle. Feeling a little hoppy.
Bringing them back to Lexington Saturday Morning. Anyone interested in trying if you haven't had?

    Update:

Killed the two on the right. Sorry.

Will return the bottle shop. Was bummed to learn that Kern River, Russian River and Ballast Point no longer distribute to Washington...

    All good beers you got.

You can get Ballast Point and Alesmith in Ohio too if you are ever up in Cinci.

I'm determined to try Sucks, but you can have those. I'm on a mission to acquire them myself.

OK, Im a little disappointed with BA now. I have an alert set to email me when ever anyone posts to this thread and I havent received anything.

As far as Shenanigans goes, it is my main go to place. Especially because it is only a few blocks from work. They get their truck on Friday, so i usually hit it up right after work. I live in Masterson, so it is a journey to hit up any of the LBs, but I make sure I stop by if Im in the area. I have found the Hamburg usually has a better selection than Palomar. The LB on High has some random beers as well. They had Dreadnaught a few weeks ago when everyone else was out. Thanks for the tips on how to look for things at LB. I usually go straight to the beer aisle and dont really look around. I owe my craft beer appreciation to The Beer Trappe for getting me started and to them and Shenanigans for continuing it.

Its amazing how much the beer scene in Lexington has changed in just a few short years.

LB Hamburg had a few bottles of Enjoy By stuffed in the right cooler next to the deli counter, innocuously wedged in between the beer and wine.

Also, deli guy told me they're tapping Barrel Aged Wake Up The Dead on Monday. I'm surprised it had such mediocre reviews, but I know I'll be giving it a shot.
