We're heading off to vacation for a week in Liberty, ME. I'm not finding a lot of "must see/visit" things in the immediate area. We were looking for an "off grid" type of place, and achieved that goal.

Thinking of hitting Oxbow on the way up - we don't have to check in until 3:00 on Saturday so we'll either leave home Friday and really take our time or go up Saturday with a few stops on the four-plus hour drive.

We are pretty familiar with the Portland area south, but not so much beyond Portland. This is the furthest north we have ventured so far.

    Thanks in advance.

If you haven't been, I would highly recommend Marshall Wharf Brewing over in Belfast. Not terribly far from Liberty and has good beers and food and is right on the water. Have fun up in Maine!

    Sounds like a fun trip.

    Right by you are:
    Lake St. George Brewing
    Liberty Craft Brewing (brewpub)
    Threshers Brewing Co.

They are worth a stop for a few pops. Nothing earth shattering, but nice, small, local places near your location in Liberty.

Really enjoyed Lake St. George Brewing on Rte. 3, and often have a good food truck on-site.
